Namaskar Everyone !!! This is Dr Amit Sata, with me Mr Philip Gajera and Mr Pinal Kantesariya. We are the founders of innovative startup Udhyog 4.0 that mainly focuses on transformation of existing manufacturing enterprises into SMART manufacturing by implementing indigenously developed modules including Process Monitoring, Data Management, SMART Inspection & Measurement Devices as well as Data Analytics. As we know Rajkot which is coincidently home town of founders, is one of largest growing manufacturing hubs of India and having more than 43000 manufacturing enterprises registered under MSME-India. These enterprises mainly include more than 700 sand casting foundries, 175 investment casting foundries, 500 forging units, and so on. Industrial survey of nearly 25% of investment casting foundries of Rajkot has been conducted to get an insight of their capabilities and challenges. It was observed that these foundries produce industrial castings of more than 4000 crores every year. However, nearly 200 crores of castings are rejected or recycled every year with an average rejection of nearly 5%. Implementation of different modules of Udhyog 4.0 in three such foundries yield in reduction of rejection to nearly half, and proved its impact on foundries. If it will be implemented to all investment casting foundries of Rajkot region then it will yield a benefit of nearly 100 crores excluding 50 crores of energy savings every year. To summarize, Udhyog 4.0 rejuvenates traditional manufacturing and transforms them into SMART manufacturing enterprises at very affordable cost which is nearly 50 lacs for an average investment casting foundry producing 500 metric tons per year, and is equivalent to nearly 2.5% of its annual turnover. This opens overall market of nearly 90 crores in Rajkot region only. This implementation can also be extended to 1.9 crores of MSME units in India including over 9 lacs of MSME units of Gujarat. It really leads in achieving philosophy of Make in India, and in turn lead to Atmanirbhar Bharat. We do have association for marketing our products in Gujarat and looking for partners for other states of India. The novel implementation of Udhyog 4.0 is also appreciated by Government of Gujarat, and selected as one of the most innovative startups of Gujarat.
