Scientific racism is the study of techniques and hypotheses supporting or justifying racism, that is, the racial inferiority or superiority of some human groups over others, seeking to give scientific foundation to a so-called "science of the human races". Within the cores of cells of people, animals and other human beings there is a substance called DNA, responsible for the hereditary characteristics from one generation to the next. This substance is organized into structures called chromosomes that vary according to the individual, man has 46. Within a chromosome are found thousands of genes, which determine the characteristics of a single individual and his belonging to a species. The fundamental thing that distinguishes one species from the other is that all individuals are fertile and therefore, mating, generate new individuals which in turn are fertile (fruitful). The concept of "race" does not exist scientifically, because from the biological point of view there is no clear distinction between the different groups of individuals of the same species. Even if it is established that certain characters correspond to a certain category and not to another, it would not be possible to divide all the people of the world into categories, because almost all people would belong to more than one. This concept has not achieved any scientific consensus, and is probably not intended to do so, as the variation existing in the human species is gradual. One could object to the more common stereotypes based on skin or hair colour and facial traits, which reflect superficial differences that are not confirmed by more appropriate analyses made on genetic traits. The problem with races is that while they do not exist from a scientific point of view, they do exist from a social point of view, because racial prejudices are very widespread, even among those who are opposed to any racist discourse and believe in equality between people. Prejudices are the reason that the colour of the skin, can have a weight in the cognitive development of a person.
