Hello Viewers, In this presentation, we talk about a uniquely Indian technique for water conservation... that was designed and perfected over centuries in ancient India. 'Stepwells' are architectural marvels... designed to collect and preserve water throughout the year. Remnants of historic stepwells dot the landscape, in many regions of India. Forgotten over time and often in a state of neglect, today.. many Stepwells are in dire need of preservation and restoration. 'Water' is the most important ingredient for a civilization. Centuries of wisdom on preserving water resources and engineering solutions to improve the availability of water throughout the year, using Stepwells, is a testament to the incredible design and engineering talent of our ancestors. In this video, we present how, with great care & dedication, our team has undertaken the rejuvenation of over 500-year-old Stepwells, locally known as Bawaris, in Rajasthan.
