Bey blade Science A Brief Summary Of Files On Science About Bey blades Preview: This Presentation Will Show How the scientific principles apply to Bey blades and what makes a Bey blade Work. Law of conservation of energy: Before release, the Bey blade is at rest and it possesses potential energy. The release of kinetic energy makes the Bey blade spin. When the Bey spins it encounters friction and its kinetic energy is transformed into thermal energy. Precession: When we spin a Bey blade on a flat surface, we will see it's top end slowly revolves around the vertical direction. This process is called Precession. As the spin of the Bey blade slows down, the Precession gets faster and faster. It then begins to bob up and down and finally falls over. A rapidly spinning Bey blade will Precess in a direction determined by the torque exerted by its weight. The Bey blade is able to balance on its axis because the spinning motion causes equal amounts of Precession to be applied to either side of the Bey blade. If your buddy's Bey blade smashes into yours, the balance of your Bey blade will be destroyed and your Bey will begin to slow down or crash. Friction: the Constant rubbing of the bottom of the Bey blade, (or the performance tip) against the floor, (or the Beystadium) and air will eventually cause the Bey blade to stop-if your opponent doesn't knock your Bey out first. Bey blades are designed such that the only part of the Bey blade that touches the ground is the tiny bottom part. This reduces the friction or rubbing that could slow the Beys down. Torque: It is a measure of how much a face acting on an object causes that object to rotate. Torque=Force x lever-arm distance. The Bey blade is released by pulling the winder or the rip cord to make it spin. When pulling the rip cord from the launcher a force is being exerted on the Bey blade. This twisting face is torque. Centrifugal Force: An object traveling in a circle experiences an outward force known as the centrifugal force. It depends on the mass of the object, the speed or rotation, and the distance from the center. The Bey blade remains upright because the centrifugal Force pulls outward on the Bey blade and keeps it perpendicular to the horizontal axis of the ground. Angular Momentum: Angular momentum is a measure of the amount of rotation an object has, taking into account its mass, shape and speed. It is a vector quantity. Angular momentum L=p x r, where R is the radius vector and P is the momentum. The Bey blade continues to spin and remain upright because when an object is spinning, it possesses angular momentum.. A BeyBlade Broken Down: The Top Layer is the main piece of the Bey blade, It is the part where it gives one attribute of the Bey blade, like defense, attack, or stamina. The Performance Disc Is the disc that does lots of damage since its metal, but it rarely hits the opponents Bey blade. The Performance Tip Is the only part that encounters friction, and it spins the whole Bey blade around, it is the only part that starts out spinning, and also it almost never gets hit by a other Bey blade. Motion: If the Bey has a lot of mass, it will require more force to accelerate. If you want the Bey to move fast, you have to apply more force. The slower Bey blade loses to the faster Bey blade because it has less acceleration. The smaller Bey blade loses to the bigger one because it has less mass. If the smaller Bey blade is given more acceleration it puts up a better fight. Conclusion: To conclude, we have seen different Principles of science, and how they affect the Bey blades, and how it works.
