Twelfth goal. Responsible consumption and production. The last year we had the corona virus that overrunned our planet causing a lockdown. But, leaving it all behind, the industrial stop gave the possibility to our planet to take a short, regenerating, breath. The goals to achieve by 2030 are: Halve global food waste, taking action during the production in the supply chains. Sustainable management and an efficient use of natural resources. Substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse. About the sustainability, two years ago the renewable energy source produced the 36% of the year's demand, overtaking fossil fuels, gas, and nuclear. Back to 2019, the Earth's electric consumption was 153000 TeraWatt hour. With a simple multiplication, you can find out that it would have been costed 8636850000000 euros, which would be enough to solve world hunger, to pay off Italy's public debt, to build 3813 Burj Khalifa, and there would be a lot left over. But, it's definitely not possible to live on the Earth without electricity nowadays. So, let's take a shorter time. Turning off the electricity all over the world for just a second would save 273872 euro. Enough to buy a Lamborghini and a yellow gold Rolex. Talking about food waste: every year 1,3 billions of tons of food get wasted. It's the same weight as: 11820000000000
