Maria is a self-confident Armenian girl who lives in Lebanon with a stepmother and an invalid father. The dramatic Israeli bombings make a temporary exile with some London relatives advisable for her. These are the concrete events. But Mary is destined for far more extraordinary experiences. The curse of ancestors involved in Satan's deceptions weighs heavily on her, a curse that she is given the task of nullifying. He will thus find himself having to face disturbing trials, including supernatural experiences, esoteric enigmas, extrasensory adventures, journeys to parallel worlds. Around her move the heroes of mythology, the knights of the Round Table, the Dante ferrymen, hierarchies of demons and angels, in a kaleidoscopic succession of situations. All this will have its conclusion in the teaching that the author wants to highlight at the end of his spiritual search. There is only one truth, one reality: the word of Jesus, the indications of the Holy Bible. All the rest is nothing but the illusion given by false myths, by threats of charlatans, by pagan suggestions. The subject, in itself heavy, is lightened by the carefree irony and adolescent language with which the protagonist tells her adventures in first person and in the form of a diary.
