Suffolk County in Eastern Massachusetts...this includes the City of Boston... Southeastern Middlesex County in Eastern Massachusetts... Southern Essex County in Eastern Massachusetts... Until 4 35 PM Eastern Daylight Time. At 3 50 PM Eastern Daylight Time, a confirmed large and potentially apocalyptic tornado capable of producing never before seen damage was located over Chestnut Hill, or 10 miles southwest of Downtown Boston, moving northeast at 45 miles per hour. This is a likely mass casualty situation for the City of Boston and Suffolk County. Hazard...Cataclysmic tornado... Source...Radar, public, and law enforcement confirmed catastrophic tornado over Chestnut Hill. When authorities were dispatched to respond to calls in Newton, Wellesley, Needham, and Natick, those areas were found to be completely flattened to the ground with all structures decimated and torn to shreds. Roads were torn apart, and authorities said the scene resembled that of a nuclear blast. The Norton NWS office has reported to the Boston Department of Emergency Management that this tornado is over 4 miles wide. Impact...You are in a life or death situation. You will be killed if not in an underground bunker or tornado shelter. All structures, including mobile homes, residential homes, businesses, vehicles, and any other structure will be flattened and tossed around.
