Good afternoon First, thank you for having me here today My name is George Alaji and I am 28 years old I am from Syria, I was born and raised in Damascus city the capital of Syria Where I pursued my high school degree with a good record I try keep myself fit and active and I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Also, I dedicate some time to my own personal development. 2- Why did you choose this program ? I have always been curious about mechanical systems, how they work, and their various components that interact to achieve specific functions. This passion has led me to choose the Mechanical Engineering program for my undergraduate studies and After reading the program's structure, I am certain that it is the best fit for my academic and professional goals. 3- Why did you choose this University ? Or What motivates you to study here ? The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) is known for being : • one of the top higher education institutions in Hungary with internationally competitive degrees. • Supports student activities which is obvious in the good campus dormitories with modern services. • Also, the beautiful city of Godollo as cultural and welcoming center. 4- What do you know about MATE and campus at Godollo ? MATE: • It was established on the 1st of February 2021 • one of the top higher education institutions in Hungary • internationally competitive degrees widely recognized • nearly 14% of students there are international Godollo campus: • 25 km from the capital city of Budapest • the main campus of the university • comfortable and modern. 5- What are your plans after graduation from the MSc ? If I obtained the opportunity to study this Program at your esteemed University, Which I believe it will give me a wider ability to reach my goals : I have the ambition to return to my country with all the knowledge and skills that I acquire from this program to find my opportunity as a mechanical engineer to contribute to the rebuilding process, particularly in the restoration of the factories that were destroyed during the long years of war. Also, I will prepare for my Master. 6- Where do you see yourself after 5/10 years ? I plan to pursue my post-graduate studies I plan on expanding my technical engineering knowledge and deepen my skills to be a successful mechanical engineer. 7- What are your weaknesses ? • My greatest weakness is that I think too much on the finest details which costs me a lot of time and effort. but, recently, I have been striving to focus on the bigger picture with details . • I tend to be self-critical regarding my missed opportunities but lately, I have been developing a satisfied mindset which gives me the ability to move forward . 8- What are your strengths ? I find myself : • Disciplined and Committed: I always have the motivation to achieve my goals whatever it costs • Flexible and adaptable 9- Do you have any hoppies ? I love playing football in my free time as it helps me relax . I like watching movies . I dedicate some time to work out . 10- What do you know about Hungary ? Hungary is a country located in Central Europe, as a welcoming and secure country with super nice people. known for its rich culture and history, beautiful architecture. Budapest is the capital city and is divided by the Danube River into buda and pest. 11- Do you have any friends living in Hungary ? No, but many of my friends here are applying to study in Hungary. 12- How do you see your level in English, how can you increase your level ? I would rate my English level as B2 based on my recent test results, which is an upper-intermediate level. However, I have the ambition to continue improving my English skills. To increase my level, I plan to read more books, watch movies and TV shows in English, and practice speaking with native English speakers. 13- Why haven't you uploaded your English certificate/diploma yet ? I am currently waiting for my English certificate, which I expect to receive soon. As soon as I receive it, I will upload it to the scholarship application. 14- George you are 28 years old, why are applying for a bachelor's degree ? 15- Why you don’t have a bachelor's degree at this age ? Growing up in a country that was going through a war, I faced many challenges that impacted my ability to pursue higher education. Due to the unstable economic situation, I had to work to support myself and my family, which prevented me from attending university after earning my high school degree. Despite these challenges, I remained determined to continue my learning, that’s why I am applying to your university with the hope of being granted the opportunity to further my education. 16- When did you graduate from the high school, your record ?
