However, I personally think that just focusing on financial outcome makes companies forget about other important aspects. Such companies need to stop thinking in the here and now and reconsider their priorities from a more longterm perspective. One of the most essential things to a company is the trust of their customers. Companies should always make sure that they provide quality services and products to consumers, even if this may cost more than providing a huge supply of mediocre or lower quality products. Through always ensuring high quality of service and products, companies can create and maintain a good reputation. This reputation will attract more buyers and create a positive cycle which benefits both the business and its customers. Companies that only care about making money often overwork their employees with insufficient pay. This causes workers to become unhappy and tired, which results in lower work productivity. Since loss of employees enthusiasm towards their job can be a major loss to the company, companies should always provide a safe and comfortable working environment for their employees. Lastly, companies should use some of their profit to have a positive impact on the whole of society. They should participate in or be the managers of charity projects or volunteer work. This not only helps to make the world a better place, but it also contributes to the company making a better impression on society. For these reasons, companies should not be fully focused on just making a profit for it will not be beneficial to the company in the long run. Investment for the future is not just about immediate monetary gain, and developing the framework to make both customers and employees happy is likely to generate more sustainable
