There are people who suffer from poverty in every country. What do you think the reasons for poverty are in your country and what do you think can be done to help these impoverished people Even in the global north, no one is guaranteed a life of wealth. Although Japan is one of the most developed countries in the world, a significant number of people live below the poverty line. In order to address this pressing social issue, it is imperative that the state provides adequate support to these people to help end the negative spiral of poverty. In Japan, many people fall into poverty because they only have a low level of education. Without sufficient education, it is difficult for them to get a stable job, so they end up doing unstable jobs with low pay. Highquality education in Japan is often extremely expensive and there are not many scholarships available. Therefore, more financial support systems should be created for lowincome families to give their children better educational opportunities. Another major cause of poverty in Japan are mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. Many people in Japan are overworked and feel excessive amounts of stress, which can trigger mental illness. Mental instability makes it hard for people to work stable fulltime jobs. There is a need to provide mental support for free to help these people recover and lift themselves out of poverty. At the other end of the scale, some people do not work because they have trouble discovering their interests earlier on in their lives and cannot find work that they can be truly passionate about. In order to help young people discover their passions, schools and universities should provide more opportunities for students to learn about various jobs and think about their futures. Concerning poverty in Japan, there are a number of factors which play into the current situation. In order to fix some of the problems, we need to provide various forms of social support to help people find their own way out of their unfavourable state.
