Hello. I am Feace. I am the most famous architect in the entire history of ancient Akragas. I studied architecture, with the greatest masters of my time and my big break came when Terone, after the victory of Himera in 480 BC, called me to design a water channeling system. And so, applying my innovative ideas, I designed the aqueducts and sewers of this city, subsequently directing their construction. I had a capillary network of tunnels called hypogea dug into the tuff rock that, underground, for kilometers, brought fresh drinking water everywhere. The system of aqueducts, then, ended with a large fish pond, the Colimbetra, which became a true place of delight. Today, a good part of the hypogea still exists and a small part can also be visited.
