Welcome to Zoo Negara, home to two magnificent Aldabra giant tortoises named Do and Re. These gentle giants are over 100 years old and were recently adopted by UEM Edgenta Bhd. Aldabra tortoises are one of the worlds largest land tortoises, capable of reaching weights up to 550 pounds and living for more than 150 years. Native to the Aldabra Atoll in the Seychelles, these tortoises have a dark gray to black, highly domed carapace and long necks perfect for reaching vegetation. At Zoo Negara, you can observe these incredible creatures in the Reptile Park, where they share space with other fascinating reptiles. Despite their size, Aldabra tortoises are known for their gentle nature and can even learn to recognize their keepers. So come visit Do and Re at Zoo Negara and witness these living relics of a bygone era
