Sam called his wife Kerry, “Meet me outside the office. We’ll have something to eat and then go on to the concert.” Sam’s wife was delighted. It was quite a while since she had been to the concert which she liked very much. Her husband as usual was late. She didn’t want to miss the concert, so she went in and took her seat in the concert hall. The orchestra were just coming on the platform. She was looking forward to the programme, which contained many of her favourite pieces of music. There was to be an overture, followed by a piano concerto. After the usual interval, the concert would continue with a symphony. Kerry felt the evening would be a great success. The orchestra began to play. To her surprise, Kerry realized she had a ticket for the wrong night. The music sounded so modern that after five minutes she was forced to leave. She met her husband outside the concert hall. He apologized to her for his delay. He said he was about to leave when his cousin from America called him and said to him that, on his way to Rome to see his girlfriend, she would stop in London for a couple days. It was a long call. They arranged important details. His cousin had never been to England before and Sam promised him he would go and pick him up at Heathrow airport. His cousin asked him to find a hotel for him not too expensive. Sam said to him he didn’t need a hotel. They had a spare room and they would be happy if he stayed with them. Kerry told him about the concert. Sam took out his ticket and realized that the ticket was for the evening after.
