Leslie was a student. One day she hurried into her town library. She went up to one of the old librarians and said to her eagerly, “Do you remember that you persuaded me borrow a book about Greek mythology a week ago?” “Yes, that’s right,” answered the librarian. “Do you remember the name of the book?” Leslie asked. The librarian felt very proud, because she was always trying to get some people to take out books about Greek history. But she rarely found one who was willing to accept her suggestions. “Yes,” she answered. “Do you want to take it out again? Do you think that it was so interesting?” “No, of course not,” said Leslie. “But when I was taking it home, I met a handsome boy on the bus. We started talking and became friends. He was very fond of concerts. We arranged to meet next weekend and go to a concert. I’ve just read on the paper this morning that there will be a concert not far from here. Unfortunately, that morning I left my mobile at home so I wrote his telephone number on the book. I want to call him. Please may I have a look at the book again?”
