Mark was on holiday in Britain and one day he decided to visit Edinburgh. He went to the travel agency. They advised him to travel overnight there by coach because it was the cheapest way to get there and back. After two hours travelling, the bus stopped at a wayside cafe. It was very crowded and he decided to buy some chocolate because he also had some fruit with him. It was ten when the bus set off again. The lights went off and Jerry settled down to have some sleep. But the two young men behind him kept on talking and every now and then they burst out laughing. Evidently, they were telling jokes. Jerry asked them to be quiet, but they didn’t take any notice of him at all. In the end, he couldn’t bear it. He turned round again and said angrily, “I can’t sleep a wink!” “Why don’t you take a sleeping pill?” answered one of them scornfully. Eventually, he fell asleep, but the people behind him woke him up, “You’re snoring.” They said. It was five in the morning when the coach broke down. The driver telephoned for help, but they couldn’t get the coach to start. In the end, they had to send for another one and all the passengers had to change coaches. It started raining. Jerry was very hungry and was longing for a hot drink. When he reached Edinburgh, he was so exhausted that he went straight to bed and stayed there for the rest of the day.
