On Monday, Carol was doing her weekly shopping, when she bumped into Fiona, an old friend of hers. They hadn’t seen each other for more than ten years. They stopped in the middle of the isle, then hugged and chatted and chatted! She told Carol she had been living overseas, in Istanbul, and had only just moved back home. That’s why they hadn’t seen each other for so long! While they were talking, another friend appeared in the aisle. It was one of their old classmates from high school. What a coincidence! Thy found out he had just recently become a dad! He had his new baby girl tucked up in the pram. He told them he was just trying to get out of the house for a while. So, they decided to go to the cafe next door. They couldn’t miss the chance to catch up after all these years! But it turned out to be a disaster. They ordered cake but it tasted terrible. They ordered coffee but it never came! When one of the waitresses was rushing to open the door for a customer, she knocked over a huge vase of flowers which smashed onto their table and soaked them with water! Fortunately, they were having so much fun reminiscing about old school days that it didn’t really bother them too much.
