Mrs Boulton lived in a small town not far from Cambridge. Yesterday morning, she sent her children to school, then she went to the market. It was still early when she got home. The children were at school, her husband was at work, and the house was quiet. So, she decided to make some tarts for tea. She mixed butter and flour and her hands were soon covered with sticky pastry. Suddenly the telephone rang. She picked it up with her sticky fingers and was rather disappointed when she recognised the voice of her neighbour Mrs Young. She is a great talker and it took Mrs Boulton ten minutes to persuade her to ring back later. What a mess! There was pastry on her fingers, on the telephone and on the mobile. She had just got back to the mixing, when the door-bell rang loudly. This time it was the postman and he wanted her to sign a registered parcel!
