The Lost Campers Years ago, a group of teenagers decided to spend a weekend camping in the Whispering Woods. They laughed off the warnings of the locals, eager for an adventure. On the first night, they set up camp near a small, serene lake, toasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories by the fire. As the night deepened, the whispers began. At first, they were barely noticeable, but as the fire died down, the voices grew louder. The campers looked at each other nervously, but none wanted to admit their fear. They decided to ignore the sounds and went to sleep. Around midnight, one of the campers, Lisa, woke up to a strange noise. She saw a shadowy figure standing at the edge of the camp, its eyes glowing in the darkness. Terrified, she woke her friends, but when they looked, the figure was gone. The whispers, however, were louder than ever, forming coherent words that seemed to beckon them. Determined to prove their bravery, the group decided to investigate. They followed the whispers deeper into the woods, each step filling them with a growing sense of dread. The forest seemed to close in around them, and they realized too late that they were hopelessly lost. In a small clearing, they found an old, abandoned campsite. The tents were torn, and the remains of a long-dead fire lay in the center. As they inspected the site, the whispers became a cacophony of screams and laughter. Suddenly, the ground beneath them shifted, revealing a hidden pit. One by one, they were dragged down by unseen hands, their screams swallowed by the forest. The next morning, the campsite was empty. Search parties found the abandoned tents, but there was no sign of the campers. The townspeople added their names to the long list of those claimed by the Whispering Woods, and the legend grew ever darker.
