Sophie had been eagerly anticipating the Taylor Swift concert for months. As she drove through the winding country roads, excitement bubbled inside her. The sky was clear, and the sunset cast a golden glow over the landscape. Halfway there, her car began to sputter. The engine light flicked on, and she pulled over to the side of the road with a sinking feeling. She was stranded in the middle of nowhere, with no other cars in sight. Sophie grabbed her phone, but there was no signal. Desperate for help, she got out and looked around. In the distance, she spotted a narrow path leading into the woods. At the end of the path, she could see the faint outline of a house. Hoping to find someone who could help, she set off toward it. The path was overgrown, and as she walked, the trees seemed to close in around her. The temperature dropped, and an eerie silence filled the air. Finally, she reached the house. It was old and dilapidated, with broken windows and an overgrown yard. Sophie hesitated, but her need for help pushed her forward. She knocked on the door, but there was no answer. She tried the knob, and the door creaked open. Inside, the house was dark and filled with shadows. As she stepped inside, she felt a chill run down her spine. “Hello?” she called out, her voice trembling. There was no response. Sophie walked through the dimly lit rooms, her footsteps echoing on the wooden floors. She reached the living room and froze. The walls were covered in photos of Taylor Swift, but they were all defaced. The eyes were scratched out, and words like “Mine” and “Forever” were scrawled across them in red ink. Suddenly, music started playing. It was “Haunted,” but it sounded warped and distorted. Sophie’s heart pounded as she followed the sound to a room at the end of the hall. Inside, an old record player spun a vinyl record, the source of the twisted music. She reached out to stop the record, but a cold hand grabbed her wrist. Sophie screamed and pulled away, stumbling backward. In the doorway stood a man, his face gaunt and eyes hollow. “You shouldn’t be here,” he said, his voice low and menacing. “She doesn’t like visitors.” Sophie backed away, her mind racing. “Who? Who doesn’t like visitors?” He stepped closer, and she could see the madness in his eyes. “Taylor. She’s always watching. Always here.” Sophie turned and ran, her heart pounding in her chest. She sprinted through the darkened house, the music growing louder and more dissonant. She reached the front door and flung it open, but before she could escape, a cold hand grabbed her shoulder. “Stay,” the man hissed. “She needs company.” Sophie wrenched free and bolted down the path, not daring to look back. The forest seemed to close in around her, branches clawing at her clothes and hair. She stumbled and fell, scraping her knees, but she didn’t stop. She could hear footsteps behind her, growing closer. She finally reached her car and scrambled inside, locking the doors. Her hands shook as she fumbled with the keys, but the engine roared to life. She sped away, glancing in the rearview mirror to see the man standing at the edge of the woods, watching her with those hollow eyes. Sophie didn’t stop driving until she was back in the city, surrounded by the safety of streetlights and people. She parked and sat in her car, trying to calm her racing heart. The concert was the last thing on her mind now. All she could think about was the house, the man, and the twisted music. When she finally got home, she locked every door and window, turning on all the lights. She tried to forget, but the images haunted her. Every time she heard “Haunted,” she felt a chill run down her spine, reminded of the night she narrowly escaped becoming a part of a song in the most terrifying way.
