We students often do this thing called “procrastination.” I often do this before my exams. I always say “I will start when this happens” “I will start at this time” “I will start when I’m ready.” And the cycle repeats until the day before the exam and I haven’t read one module. And after enjoying the time I wasted, I will feel regret. You see, this is a problem among us people, we always know what we need to do but we can’t bring ourselves to do it. The opposite of procrastination is self-discipline. Whenever we are given a task, we will always have two options, either you do it now or you do it later. Self-discipline is the ability to make yourself take action, even if you don’t feel like doing it, it is responsibility and commitment to yourself. We love dreaming of having something good and not working hard for it. Consistency is the key here. Of course, there will be times where we will get lazy and we break our consistency when this happens, just get back on track. Every moment you spend procrastinating is a moment you could spend moving closer to your goals. Time is the most precious resource we have and remember that our time is limited. This is an average persons life in weeks. One box represents one week of your life. And one row represents one year. And the shaded box are the weeks that we had already lived. This week could be the week you had wasted. Every week you have one less of these box. And your waiting around for what? Don't wait for the moment where your in this point of your life and suddenly realizing that you had wasted half of your life.
