Hello everyone, My name is Halimatou Diallo, and I am from West Africa, specifically Senegal. Being passionate about cooking, and preparing various types of dishes, gives me a sense of well-being. Today, I would like to introduce you to the recipe for Yassa Dieune, a delicious Senegalese dish. During this presentation, I will explain step by step how to prepare it. To start, here are the ingredients you will need: • Fish called "Thiof" or a variant called "Dorade" • Parsley, garlic, pepper, bell peppers, and green chili • Spices such as cooking cube (Maggi), Adja, and onions. Here is the process for preparing Yassa Dieune: 1. In a blender, mix some pepper, garlic, green chili, bell pepper, a little parsley, cooking cube, and a teaspoon of salt to season the fish. 2. In a pan, heat peanut oil until it is hot. 3. Gently place the fish in the pan and cook it for a few minutes on each side until it becomes golden and crispy. 4. Meanwhile, chop the onions and add mustard, lemon, and a little chili. 5. Season the fish with this mixture and return it to the hot oil. 6. Gently stir while adding a little Adja to give the sauce a golden color. Reduce the heat to prevent the sauce from burning. 7. Let it cook for a few minutes, then place the fish in the sauce to absorb the flavors. Now, let's move on to preparing the rice, which traditionally accompanies Yassa. Here are the steps to follow: 1. Rinse the rice well in water in a bowl, rinsing it until the water becomes clear (about three times). 2. Preferably use an electric rice cooker to facilitate and speed up the process. 3. Put the rice in the inner bowl of the rice cooker and add the recommended amount of water. 4. Add a little salt and oil before plugging in the rice cooker. 5. Select the "white rice" option and wait for the rice to cook. 6. Once cooked, put the rice in a bowl and add a little parsley for extra flavor. To serve the Yassa Dieune, start by placing the rice on the plate or serving dish, then pour the Yassa sauce on top. For an optimal experience, serve the dish with a cold drink. This concludes my presentation. Thank you for your attention.
