Good morning, my name is Wojciech. I work at MAGNA Corporation's factory in Tychy. According to year-end 2022 data, Magna operates 341 factories in 28 countries worldwide, employing over 141,000 workers who produce parts for more than 50 clients. Magna is ranked 4th in the world among the largest automotive parts suppliers. The company is involved in the production of automobiles, their design, and components. In our Tychy plant, we manufacture structural elements, bumpers, and chassis. The facility consists of three departments: aluminum production, stamping, and welding. We have 5 warehouses and handle around 150 trucks for loading/unloading per day. My company employs over 800 people. In my department, there are 180 employees, including 33 administrative staff (production planning, logistics engineering, customer service), and 147 employees work in the warehouse management, which I am a part of. In a nutshell, my responsibilities include: At my position, I am responsible for: Supporting the department manager in supervising the work of 147 warehouse employees (120 forklift operators, 9 office staff, 15 team leaders, and 3 shift managers). Leading and implementing optimization projects in the department. Updating and creating procedures, instructions, and forms to improve work processes. Coordinating the KAIZEN system in logistics. Conducting training for employees on using the SAP system for warehouse and material flow management, conducting EASE and CPA training. Introducing new employees to the logistics department. Overseeing and managing goals and reporting on them. Supervising inventory levels. Assisting in the implementation of new projects. The future of my career and the benefits of completing my studies. What do I gain from my studies? Completing my studies will expand my knowledge in: Production processes, Management methods, General knowledge of subordinate processes.
