Canon Australia recently celebrated a decade-long partnership with DHL Supply Chain at their New South Wales site in Horsley Park. The collaboration has been significant in the safe storage and prompt delivery of over 3.5 million orders, handling more than 12,000 containers without any lost-time injuries. A celebration marking this milestone saw leaders and teams from both companies join for a luncheon. Canon Australia's Director of Technology and Operations, Doug Grgas, praised the flexibility and safety record of the partnership. Tony Allan, DHL's General Manager in the Technology Sector, highlighted their joint efforts in delivering essential print and camera products, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Canon Australia commits to continuing and strengthening this successful partnership with DHL. Coles Group, a leading supermarket chain, is enhancing its sustainability efforts by installing reverse vending machines in 47 stores across Victoria as part of a Container Deposit Scheme (CDS). Customers can return eligible drink containers and receive a 10-cent refund per item, which can be used for shopping at Coles, donated to charity, or transferred to a bank account. With these new additions, Coles will have 139 container collection points nationwide, contributing to over a billion containers being recycled since 2018. Additionally, Coles customers and staff have collectively raised over $2.5 million for various Australian charities focused on medical research and children’s health and wellbeing, with contributions supporting different causes in each state and territory.
