Hello Everyone, We are going to have common briefing done today, the reason to brief commonly is the time taken to travel from one place to the other remains the same and also the points to visit remains the same. We will be starting with Srinagar then Gulmarg, Pahalgam and back to Srinagar also if anyone has Sonamarg and Doodhpathri too will briefed. Today guest staying at the House Boats will be taken to the Ghat to be transferred to their respected House Boat and the transfer will be done by a small boat called SHIKARA, Every house boat has 3 to 4 rooms in it so whatever your rooms are will be provided to you also if anyone has Shikara ride included for one hour they can ask the house boat attendant they will have it organized, one hour shikara ride is just a joy ride where no points are involved, If you wish to include any points or you wish to extend your time you can talk to the shikarawalla on direct payment basis. And guest who have a stay at the hotel in Srinagar will be dropped to their respected hotel. Tomorrow we will be travelling to Gulmarg, Just before we start with Gulmarg, Kindly note that Gulmarg, Pahalgam or Sonamarg our drivers cannot do any sightseeing, as everywhere there is Taxi Union and Pony Union, Gulmarg is 55kms from Srinagar which takes 2 hrs. time to reach, So before reaching Gulmarg you will be reaching Tanmarg which is the check post to Gulmarg and Gulmarg is 12 to 15 Km on the top, Now hotels like Gulmarg House and Marina Drung are located at Tanmarg, So now when you have your Gondola, drivers will take you from your hotel to the parking lot in Gulmarg and Gondola from the parking lot is one to one and a half kilometres walk, also it is -the same for guests who have their same day trip for Gulmarg, these are for the hotels which are located at Tanmarg and guest who have hotels like Nedous, Vintage, Royal Park or Royal Castel the distance towards Gondola is between 2 to 2.5Km, Other hotels like Heaven, Shaw Inn, Alpine Ridge, Hill Top, Kaholai Green which is 5 to 10 minutes’ walk distance toward Gondola. If you don't have Gondola or after the Gondola you have time then you can always go for a local sightseeing by hiring a Local union cab, Local sightseeing consist of bota pathri, Maharaja Palace, Shive temple, children's play park and golf course. Kindly note bota pathri is a Military coordained area where the permit is required so if the cab is hired then the cab drivers get the permit done, also bota pathri is only open till 3Pm. The next day after Gulmarg, We are travelling towards Pahalgam, Now Gulmarg to Pahalgam is 145 to 150 Kilometres distance and the time taken to travel is anywhere between 3 to 4 hours journey, So when we start from Gulmarg we will again pass through Tanmarg and little ahead of Tanmarg there are couple of Handicraft showrooms and shawl factories so if any of our guest would like to stop by they can ask the driver to stop and now when we start precisely for Pahalgam we will first pass through is a village called Pampore which is famous for saffron cultivation but the cultivation is just started so you may not be able to witness and saffron fields, but if you wish to purchase and genuine saffron or dry fruits you can ask the driver to stop by, also the production of dry fruits here is mainly Almonds (Badam) and Walnuts (Akrot), After that we will pass through cricket bat factory. Which are a small scale industries here, where you will be visiting a shop where cricket Bats are displayed and behind that they have a factory where they do the bat making process and the reason of cricket bat being manufactured here is as willow trees grow here which Called Kashmir Willow, Further we will pass through Avantipura ruins which was an old ancient temple in Mogul era where the Moguls had destroyed it and it is in a ruin state, it also come under the Indian archologist list, After which just before reaching Pahalgam we will be passing through Apple Valley these are private apple orchids where you can take some pictures and if you want to purchase any apples for your journey you can ask the orchid guy’s where they will show you a tree which you can hand pick the apple for yourself and now we reach Pahalgam. Guest who have 2 nights in Pahalgam will be dropped at their respected hotel, If you are feeling tired then take rest or If you wish to do something then there is a place called Baisran Valley which is supposed to be known as Mini Switzerland which can be only travelled on a pony only and to determine the pricing of the ponies there are pricing boards which has many other valleys as well, you can check the pricing and you can bargain as well. Next day in Pahalgam you will be having Aru, Betab and or Chandanwari, So once you get up freshen up and after having breakfast be completely ready and then give a call to your respected driver they will either tell you that they are sending a local union cab or they might come and pick you up from your hotel and take you to the local taxi stand, If union driver is coming to your hotel, kindly make sure you board the cab in 5 minutes as they don’t wait beyond 5 minutes. Also guest who have excursion or one night stay will be taken to the local union taxi stand for the Valley’s, Once we start for the valley’s you don’t have to pay for the taxi if valley’s are included for you, Once you reach the Valley, for example Aru valley you get one hours time to spend there, also the other valleys will also have the same time line to explore that is one hour each, Kindly note Aru has an entry fee of 25 rupees per person and Betab valley has an entry fee of 100 Rupees per person which you will have to pay, once you are done with the valleys the union drivers will drop you where you were picked up from. Now the next day we will return back to Srinagar, just before we return back to Srinagar, kindly note that after dark or after your dinner it is not advisable to move out of your hotel premises as Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg are forest areas where wild animals they venture out. When we return back to Srinagar we will not be checking into our respected hotel or the House boats, we will first complete our local sightseeing which includes Chasme Shahi, Nishat, Shalimar and shankar acharya temple. Chasme Shahi, Nishat and Shalimar these are Mogul Gardens where there is an entry fee of 25 rupees per person which you will have to pay and the beauty of these gardens lie in the architecture as it was made by Shahjahan, Jahangir and his son Dar who were the Mogul rulers here at that time, Shankar Acharya temple has got 260 steps to climb and it is 1000 feet above the valley view, so once you reach on the top you will be able to see that birds eye view of Srinagar city and it is opposite to Dal lake, Also if any guest have photoshoot included they will need to call the Photographer Adil when you are returning back to Srinagar and give out your booking name and hand over the phone to your respected driver, where he will fix up the time and you for the photo shoot. Once local sightseeing is completed you can then settle into your hotels or the house boats.
