1. WINDOW SHOPPING Clare went window shopping two days ago. It was sales times and many people were looking for bargains. She saw some lovely dresses in a shop window while she was walking along Regent Street, one of the most famous shopping streets in London. She saw a dress she liked very much. The price was very reasonable and it would be a fine dress for the wedding ceremony she had to go to. Her best friend would get married soon. But she couldn’t buy the dress because she didn’t have enough money with her. There was a sale in the shop and she knew that if she waited until the following day they would all be sold. She got on a bus and went straight home. She grabbed her purse and went out again. She got back to the shop. It was full of women all talking excitedly. She looked at several dresses and she chose one that was marked only £ 14. She opened her purse to pay for it. To her dismay, there were only £ 11 in it. Fortunately, the shop assistant was sympathetic. She promised to keep the dress for her. She left £ 11 as a deposit. 1- Retell the story from the point of view of Clare. 2- A friend told me that… 3- Rewrite or retell the story following these key words: Sale time bargain dress wedding little money home pure 11 pounds assistant deposit build up a dialog from this story.
