I'm Kezang Tshomo, a passionate student in the AWCCA Program, currently in my second year. I'm based in Scarborough, and my preferred pronouns are she/her. Here's a glimpse of me, ready to dive into this visual journey. The pandemic and world-shifting events have reshaped our lives. Masks and hand sanitizers became our essentials, and online classes replaced in-person interactions. Adapting to remote learning was a challenge, but it also taught me resilience and the importance of self-care. The global shifts we've witnessed have deeply influenced my perspective. From social justice movements to climate change discussions, these events have shaped how I view the world. They've ignited a fire within me to advocate for change, raising awareness about issues that matter. When I look at society, I see a tapestry of diverse stories and backgrounds. Embracing diversity and intersectionality is crucial to understanding the complexities of our world. By recognizing disparities, we can work towards a more equitable and just society. As I embark on my journey with WomenatthecentrE, I'm committed to bridging gaps through advocacy. Just like a bridge connects two sides, my role involves connecting survivors with the support they need. This organization strives for personal, political, and social change, and I'm honored to be part of that mission. I believe in amplifying voices that have long been marginalized. Participating in protests and rallies has allowed me to lend my voice to important causes. By advocating for systemic change, we can create a world where equality and justice prevail. Envisioning inclusive futures is essential to our work. I see a world free from violence, embracing and celebrating all gender identities. By striving for equality in all aspects of life, we can pave the way for a brighter, more inclusive future. As I reflect on my journey, I'm reminded of the challenges I've faced and the growth I've experienced. Embracing hope is a powerful driving force. With hope in our hearts, we can continue our advocacy journey, striving to make a positive impact. Thank you for joining me on this visual reflection of my lived experience. Let's keep the conversation going, learn from each other, and work together to create a world where violence against women and marginalized communities is eradicated. If you have any questions or thoughts, I'd love to hear from you. Together, we can make a difference.
