Hi there, I’m Charlotte. Pleased to meet you here at Silkhysteria. Over millions of years, the natural environment has led to animals developing specific abilities, in a similar way, the millions of cycles an AI makes through its training data will shape the way it develops and lead to specialist AI models. An example of AI that has developed is a Chatbot. These can mimic us, make comparisons between words and phrases we use and bring out a predictive answer. In time to come chatbots will become experts in many fields like doctors, teachers and lawyers, basically whatever you need. If you have already used Alexa or Siri then you’ve been using AI. It’s not also about your voice but images come into play. Facial recognitions of you advance processes for travelling, identification and more. Algorithms within medical scans work through thousands of scans to identify issues in the time it would take a human consultant recognise just one. AI deals with numbers, collecting and combining to produce profiles of how you act on a daily basis. Loyalty cards track you. Netflix and Amazon keep track of your streaming, social media know more about you than lots of friends and family. Should you become worried about the rapid advances of AI? I'd say yes we do. Laws need to come into our world for protection of all of us. Guidelines need to be established and set boundaries. But like growing up as we have, it may be that we must be more aware, learn and transform ourselves to cope with growing trends of AI. As we observe how humanity and we as individuals behave and interact, we need to see and listen to establish the values of care for survival. I'll be here in our next Podcast to further help towards the transformations to help you on your life journey. Thanks for listening.
