VISION Their Wines are created to reflect the landscape around them. The AT Roca project, led by Agustí Torelló Sibill and his family, was founded in 2012 to showcase the rich expression of Penedès' old vineyards. Their commitment is deeply rooted in the region and its people, viewing wine as the original language of the landscape. Torelló explained that his sparkling wines will not be labeled as 'cava' because "the essence, the region, is Penedès, and with the Penedès DO, both concepts are already encompassed in one" (March 2014 at the Alimentaria exhibition). WHERE THE SOUL MATURES & WINEMAKING FROM IDEAS With over 60 years of family experience, the winery has established itself as a reference in the production of high-quality sparkling wines. Their philosophy is based on the combination of tradition and innovation, using artisanal methods and taking care of every detail in the winemaking process. Their vision is based on respect for the terroir and the authenticity of the Penedès region. With deap knowledge of local grape varieties and winemaking techniques, the winemaker aims to highlight the identity of each wine, capturing the essence of the land and the grapes. THE LAND, AN ELEMENT OF THE COSMOS They work under the conviction that the vine forms part of a life cycle linked to the different elements of its environment. They seek harmony between the plant and nature, treating the vine in an individualized way and respecting the principles of ecological vinegrowing in order to produce wines that reflect the liquid history of their region, year after year. ç THE VALUE OF BEING ABLE TO CHOSE Historically, by means of inheritance, the vineyards have chosen their winemakers. But in their case, acting on their experience and knowledge of the region, they have chosen the most singular and ideal lands for each variety. Beyond producing wines that express all the diverse landscapes of the Penedès region, from their estate in Sant Sebastià dels Gorgs, the epicentre of the county, they work closely with a selected group of vine growers to ennoble their commitment to winemaking, intimately linked to the region and its landscape.
