Powers Moon Knight Has But Never Used Moon Knight is Marvel's newest Bronze Age hero to grace the small screen. Actor Oscar Isaac successfully introduced one of comics' most mythical yet complex protagonists to a new generation of comic book readers and Marvel enthusiasts. Moon Knight Wield's The Power Of Hypnosis Moon Knight has a powerful ability similar to street-level hero Iron Fist. By using the "voice of Khonshu," Marc Spector can hypnotize friends and foes. He has only used this incredibly useful ability a handful of times, but it's proven a powerful tool for getting him out of some difficult situations. Moon Knight first used this ability in the pages of Moon Knight #1 by Jed Mackay and Corey Petit, explaining that Khonshu's voice can be channeled through other people to convey a message. Additionally, the "voice of Khonshu" served as a self-hypnosis or mental barrier for Moon Knigh Moon Knight Can Manipulate Lunar Material One of Moon Knight's greatest abilities, fans saw him wield lunakinesis during the Disney+ series. Through the use of this magical power, Marc Spector can control aspects of the moon's functions, and he can control objects made of moon material. In the pages of Avengers #33 by Jason Aaron, Javier Garron, Jason Keith, and Cory Petit, Moon Knight schooled Thor on the origin of his mythical hammer Mjnolir. Explaining Mjnolir was composed of Uru, or moon rock, Moon Knight manipulated Mjnolir and handed the demigod a brutal beat-down. Moon Knight Displays Self-Sustenance And Environmental Adaptation Marc Spector has the uncanny ability to survive in places without an Earth-like atmosphere for extended periods while wearing any of the Moon Knight garbs. This has afforded Marc the ability to survive in places such as the desert, with its extreme temperatures, or to battle in the vast vacuum of space. In the pages of Avengers #33 by Jason Aaron, Javier Garron, Jason Keith, and Cory Petit, Moon Knight stole Ghost Rider's 1969 Dodge Charger to travel to space to fight Thor. Moon Knight could survive the cold inhospitable environment of space without the use of any equipment Moon Knight Can Contact The Spirit World One of Moon Knight's least talked about supernatural feats is the ability to communicate with the spirit world. The Marvel Universe has an extremely complex afterlife. However, Marc Spector navigates the metaphysical terrain with ease, thanks to his power of necromancy. Moon Knight shares a special connection with Black Panther as Egyptian deities power both heroes. In Moon Knight #12 — by Jed Mackay, Alessandro Cappuccio, and Rachelle Rosenberg, Vc Cory Petit — Marc travels to the Wakandan ancestral plane to guide Black Panther back from the afterlife. This supernatural feat isn't an isolated incident; Marc has demonstrated this ability multiple times throughout the years. Moon Knight Can Drain & Absorb Life Energies Power Absorption is one of Moon Knight's more interesting powers and has been used several times to capture abilities from other heroes. In Avengers #33 by Jason Aaron, Javier Garron, Jason Keith, and Vc Cory Petit, Moon Knight takes the cosmic and mystical powers of Iron Fist, Ghost Rider, and Doctor Strange. Marc has accomplished this spectacular feat with the help of an Ankh granted to him by Khonshu. Moon Knight has even absorbed the energy of the Phoenix, effortlessly wielding its immense power. Moon Knight Has Resistance To Telepathic Attacks Moon Knight's alters have acted as a line of defense against some of Marvel's foremost telepaths, making it difficult for them to read his mind and preventing him from being mind controlled. He has also proven that he's cognitively resilient and fortuitous in any situation. Moon Knight takes great offense to those who would try to probe his thoughts and invade his mind without permission. Moon Knight's defenses are so powerful that a telepath named Hawley was left in a catatonic state after trying to psionically enter the vigilante's mind in Moon Knight, Vol 9 #2 by Jed Mackay, Alessandro Cappuccio, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Cory Petit. Moon Knight Is Capable of Phase Transformation Phase Transformation is one of Moon Knight's more complex powers. The ability isn't always consistent and often changes depending on the story. The ability allows Marc to walk through solid objects, transform into his Moon Knight outfit, or amplify his abilities based on lunar cycles. In Comic: Serpent War #4 — Jim Zub, Ig Guara, Vanesa Del Rey, Frank D'Armata, Jean-François Beaulieu, Travis Lanhamby, and Carlos Pacheco — Moon Knight walked through a glass pane without injury and emerged fully costumed. Marc's moon-connected power boost even allowed him to defeat and steal power from three mystically powered heroes during a full moon. Moon Knight Has Prophetic Dreams And Visions Moon Knight can receive prophetic visions separate from his self-hypnotic state. The visions are usually completely supernatural in origin and are often derived directly from Khonshu. This ability was first explored in the pages of Moon Knight Volume 5 #6 by Charlie Huston, David Finch, Danny Miki, Frank D'Armata, and Joe Caramagna. Khonshu appeared as a slain foe, Bushman, and prodded Marc into operating at a peak superhuman level as Moon Knight. This connection also allowed Moon Knight to peer into his enemies' weaknesses
