In Genesis 2, we could see that God created the Garden of Eden where he made plants and trees that not only were pleasing to the eyes but also had fruit people could eat. God created humans to take care of the Garden of Eden and allowed them to eat fruit from any tree except from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Chapter 3 starts off with the serpent tempting Eve into disobeying the commandment God gave her and her husband Adam to not eat fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil because the day they do, they will certainly die. According to this chapter, the serpent was the craftiest of all the wild animals that God made and many believe was used by the devil to cause one of God’s greatest creations in humanity to lose the dominion they had over much of God’s creation.
