Hello Everybody, welcome to my presentation I hope you all are well. Today I want to tell you a story about one day in the NGO. have you heard about NGO? Do you know where NGO is? NGO originates from National gift organization. And it is located in London. Around one thousand employees work in NGO. but one day I figured out we need a new employee in electronic department so we published an announcement. among all the interviewees, I chose two people to review their resume Now, together and make the best choice. One of them was Olivia Miller and the other one was Emma Smith. Olivia is 28 years old and studied at University of Cambridge. Emma is 25 years old and studied at university of Bristol. In the next slides we will know about them more. I told you that Olivia graduated from a better university than Emma but when asked them some question about electronics I realized Emma had a better understanding. This surprised me but wait, more surprises are on the way! When I asked about their work history, I found out that Olivia has no work experience, but Emma had been working as an intern since she was a student. Emma is familiar with many specific software such as Pspice, Multisim and Altium Designer. But if one day will come to my company for work don’t worry because I respect this statement of Mrs. Terhaar. “Don’t be afraid of hiring people with ZERO experience, They can surprise you with their determination and great work ethic.” Our next challenge was IQ vs EQ. IQ is abbreviation for intelligence quotient, that is a measure of someone's intelligence found from special tests. But having high IQ is enough for hiring in NGO? definitely no! I think EQ is more important than IQ, have you heard about EQ? EQ is abbreviation for emotional quotient, that is a measurement of a person’s emotional intelligence. when you have high EQ, you able to understand your own feelings and the feelings of others. Having a high IQ is great, but having a high EQ can help you make new friends, communicate well, and improve your team work. In our office, employees work in groups of four, so they should be able to understand each other and work well together. We prepared a test to measure IQ and EQ of interviewees. You can see the result: Olivia’s IQ is higher than Emma’s but Emma’s EQ is better than Olivia! As I said, team work is very important to us because teamwork is one of the fundamental foundations of any company's growth. When I asked them about team work experience, I figured out The reason for Olivia's dismissal was her inability to communicate with her colleagues, this surprised me! Before the interview I contacted their former managers and actually I had a lot of information about their past, however when Emma talked about her previous job, she brought me some white lies but Olivia was completely honest. Be careful, when you participate in a job interview, the interviewer usually knowns about your past and the questions are for verification. Punctuality and discipline are important to me because they make things happen faster and better. Emma’s appearance made me feel like that she was a disciplined person. She was wearing a formal black suit and she was on time. Olivia was wearing a light blue long skirt with a white shirt. She was good looking but it wasn’t proper for an interview. There are situations in your work life that require you to do things that you have never done before; in these situations, courage will help you. And sometimes you need to be flexible in your daily schedule and work more hours to finish a project. Maybe you heard this sentence: “think outside the box” it means think in different ways. Creative people improve your company; they show you more ways to solve problems. There are three key elements of creative thinking that you can read about them on the internet. George Washington said:” perseverance and spirit have done wonders in all ages.” This is the only colorful slide because this was important for me.
