Black Panther : Wakanda forever Black Panther : Wakanda Forever one of the most awaited movie of Marvel studios was released on 11th November 2022. With Over $246 million generated in revenues since its release, the movie is still running in theatres worldwide. The movie is a sequel to Black Panther which was released in 2018 and marks the end of the fourth phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) series. The movie has been directed by Ryan Coogler and produced jointly by : Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Pictures . The movie casts the following major actors: Letitia Wright as Shuri Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia Danai Gurira as Okoye Winston Duke as M'Baku Angela Bassett as Ramonda Tenoch Huerta as Namor Martin Freeman as Everett Ross Dominique Thorne as Riri And so on. The movie begins with the mourning of the loss of Black Panther (aka T’Challa) , the King of the African nation of “Wakanda”. Actually this was a nice diplomatic start to the movie as the lead actor “ Chadwick Aaron Boseman”, who played the role of Black Panther in the movie “Black Panther “ of 2018 passed away due to colon cancer in the year 2020. Kudos to Ryan Coogler and his team for crafting such an adept story. Following the demise of the king , the throne is taken by T’challa’s mother “Ramonda”, (Angela Bassett) who tries her best to safe guard the nation . It’s the time when the whole western world including the UN is eyeing on the quest for Vibranium. During one of US operation for search of Vibranium in the Atlantic, an unknown under water force is encountered which thwarts the whole plan. Later it is shown that this force comes from the underwater kingdom called “Talokan”, which is also the second location for Vibranium storage. This kingdom, was safeguarded by its ruler “Namor”. Namor , like Black Panther carries an exceptional traits. Actually Namor belongs to the descendants of refugee of Meso-American tribe from 16th century who colonized the underwater oceanic floor. While Namor was born , his mother was made to ingest “ heart shaped herb affected by the metal Vibranium”, that led him to possess exceptional and mutant properties. For example : He is immortal, he has wings on ankle and can fly very high, he is super strong , can breathe under water and has pointed ears. Namor wants to kill an exceptional MIT scientist “Riri Williams”, (Dominique Thorne) who built the Vibranium tracking device and is helping the western world to find Vibranium sources. Namor tries to join hands with Shuri (Black panther’s sister) and overrule the surface world. However, Shuri disagrees with Namor. Due to this there is a conflict between Talokan and Wakanda . After losses and struggles Shuri, manages to grow in character, and come back strong as a new “Black Panther”. With the help of Riri , Shuri takes the advantage of Namor’s inability to stay prolong above surface of water and finally defeats the latter. Namor’s surrenders to Shuri and thus the war is won, returning the peace and security to the people of Wakanda. The movie ends with the introduction of Shuri’s nephew or son of T’challa also named as “T’challa”, leaving audience a projected feeling of keeping the character “T’challa” alive in future MCU series. Over all, it is seen that all the Actors have performed excellently well. The movie is full of emotion due to missing of Chadwick or original Black Panther on one hand and with the struggle of the queen and princess of Wakanda trying to fight the enemies with so much of calamities. In the middle of emotion, the director has successfully mingled some spices of anger, revenge, tragic, strength, courage, action and comedy. Over all, the movie is entertaining although at times it feels little bit lengthy (it is 2 hours and 40 minutes long). The demise of Chadwick Boseman has been well delineated time and again and special tribute has been vowed for his absence and contribution. However, Shuri has taken the role of Black Panther in an exceptional way. The movie has also been criticized as not having much animation as is anticipated in MCU series, however, a whole new of underwater kingdom has been introduced to the MCU and similarly the introduction of a unique character of Namor has been brought up. The movie wraps around jawdropping technical aspects. Display of African dance and playing of song has made the film more palatable. Moreover , cinematography ,action, battle and character build up has been well maneuvered. The movie was shot in : Brunswick, Georgia, USA. Atlanta, Georgia, USA. & Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA. I will say the movie is a full entertaining and motivational for someone who wants to fight for his or her dream. I will rate the movie 7 out of 10.
