Geneva starred Kelsie down as she prepared to cook dinner. "Heffa, why the fuck are you starring at me?" Kelsie inquired through her laughter. "I'm just tryna figure out when you got the juice." Kelsie has always been beautiful, despite her being a bombshell, she has always been rather shy, but it was something about Dominic that brought out this unfamiliar side of her. "Girl what juice, I was at work minding my business slanging chicken when this man and his rude ass friend pulled up to the window." Kelsie washed her hands after putting the chicken in the oven and checked her phone. "What you checking yo phone for?" Geneva teased. Kelsie smiled, "Trick, fuck you." They both burst out laughing. "What do you think he gone have us doing?" Geneva inquired. Kelsie almost forgot they both were technically jobless now on the strength of a stranger. "Girl ion know, I'm just hoping this ain't no bullshit." Kelsie's phone began to buzz across the counter. She quickly answered without looking at the caller ID, hoping Dominic was on the other end. "Hello" "Open this door!" Kelsie rolled her eyes. Geneva noticed the irritation on her sisters face. "Kevin?" She whispered. Kelsie nodded her head. "GO AWAY WEIRDO!" Geneva yelled. Kelsie chuckled. "FUCK YOU BITCH!" Kevin yelled at Geneva through the door. "YA MAMA, UGLY ASS LIL BOY!" Geneva lived to irritate him, she never liked him and never will. "Kevin, it's over my love." Kelsie softly spoke into the phone. Her and Kevin had just ended a 3 year relationship a month before but here he is again for the third time within a week. "Naw you thought it was over! Open this door before I kick it down!" Kelsie hung up the phone. "I'm not about to play with him tonight. I don't have the energy." She sighed. "Naw, I'm bout to call the police. This dude weird as hell and he need to GO AWAY, FOREVA!" Geneva yelled loud enough for him to hear on the other side of the door. Kevin kicked the door, "KELSIE, OPEN THE DOOR!" Kelsie shook her head as she began to comply, knowing he wasn't going to leave until she opened the door. "Where you going, you bet not open that door." Geneva jumped in front of her before she could reach the door. "GeGe you know he not gone leave." Where them noisy ass neighbors when you need them. Kelsie just wanted him to leave without her personally having to calling the police. "Say playa, you sure you got the right door?" The sisters shared a confused glance before tussling over the peep hole. Kevin spun around to see who was questioning him. "Hell yeah I got the right damn door! Mind yo business pretty ass boy." Dominic chuckled, amused at this little man trying to play him for weak. Stay calm, he don't know you, you don't know him. Dominic practiced coaching himself down as he took a step towards Kevin, "Naw playa, I don't think you have the right door. So with that being clear, you need to move around." Dominic lifted his shirt enough for Kevin to understand what type of time he was on. Never raising his voice in the process. "I know you fucking lyin'" Geneva, who had won the battle over the peep hole, was watching this testosterone stand off. She was taken back by Dominic's approach. "What" Kelsie asked partially excited that Dominic showed up when he did. I hope this fool ain't gone run this man off. "Girl what kinda gangsta you done got involved with!?" "Sissy I don't know this man, but hell if he gets rid of Kevin's tri-polar ass I'll marry him tomorrow." The sisters laughed. "Fuck this we safe now." Geneva swung the door open. "Yeah nappy headed lil boy, move around clown." Geneva boldly stated and was secretly daring Kevin to say something back to her, knowing she was well protected. "So this yo dude now? This who you left me for?" Kevin turned to Kelsie. Before she could say anything, "You damn right that's my woman now and I'm not gone tell you again. Move around before you get drowned." Dominic meant every word he said, Kevin really would end up at the bottom of Buffalo Bayou if he pushed the issue. "Aight, that's what's up." Kevin's stare went from Kelsie to Dominic. He looked Dominic in the eyes. "I'll see you homie." Dominic didn't take kindly to threats, even if they were lies. The biggest smile came across his face. Kelsie was already feelin' him something serious, but in that instance she felt like she had fallen in love. "Oh I look forward to it." Dominic said while clutching his tool. Kevin took one last look at Kelsie, his eyes piercing like daggers. This ain't over. Kevin's thoughts raced as he turned towards the elevators. Dominic smiled at Kelsie, "Damn girl, it's like that?" She smiled back at him, "What you mean?" Geneva pulled Kelsie by the arm, interrupting their flirt session. "Come on sister, ain't no telling if lil crazy coming back or not." Geneva joked fully knowing Kevin wasn't about fighting with a man, he had no issues beating up women though. "If he comes back he better bring the national guard with him." Dominic was joking but serious at the same time. The sisters entered their apartment but Dominic stayed outside the door. "Y'all gone invite me in?" Geneva burst into laughter. "Boy you just got rid of a whole problem, you can have a key if you want it." Dominic entered their apartment locking the door behind him as if he had just arrived home. "Y'all gotta keep them sassy little boys away from you." He was talking to both of them but focused on Kelsie. "I'm sorry, that was my ex. We been broke up for about a month." She was slightly embarrassed by the nights event. "What you apologizing for? You was doing the right thing. I just happened to show up at the right time." Kelsie felt a bit of relief, she didn't want to ruin her chance to see what he was all about. "Yeah but most men wouldn't want to deal with ex problems and I don't know nobody who would've done what you did, especially for a chic they just met." Dominic shook his head, "You don't know no real thorough men." Kelsie pulled two glasses out of the cabinet. "I guess I finally met one." The next morning… Dominic woke to the smell of pancakes, half sleep he sat up and looked around, realizing he was still at Kelsie's place. He really didn't care how fine she was, he was moving out of character. The last thing he needed was to get caught up at a females spot. He shook his head slightly disappointed in himself, boy you know better than this. He thought before reaching for his phone. Man this girl crazy for real. He scrolled through fifty phone calls, forty five voicemails, and 35 text messages. He had forgotten Leah was supposed to stop by his condo with his keys. Kelsie entered the room fully dressed. Dominic scanned her from head to toe. Damn she fine. Since it was her first official day working for him she wanted to look professional. Kelsie decided to wear a black hip hugging pants suit with the undershirt half open showing just enough cleavage. Her curly natural hair pulled up in a sleek bun with side curls. "You were sleeping so good I didn't want to wake you up." Looking at his watch, "Or yo fine ass woke up late and wanted me to be late too." Kelsie laughed, "Now how can the boss be late?" He paused for a second, "That's a damn good point." Dominic reached for his pants. Boy I'm really trippin'. I ain't even get the pussy and I'm laying my ass up here simpin'. He had to laugh at hisself for this one. "What's funny?" He didn't realized he was laughing out loud. "Oh nothing." Dominic's phone started buzzing. He looked at his phone, debating answering Leah's call. "You should answer that. Seems real important." Kelsie said as she left the room giving him privacy. He rubbed his forehead anticipating the headache he would surely receive from this call. "Hello" Leah went in immediately, "So yo black ass told me to come to yo condo..." He cut her off, "First off fix the way you talking to me you not my woman no mo, second I got busy." "You was so busy you couldn't answer huh?" Dominic shook his head, "I'll call you later." He hung up the phone and proceeded to turn it off. At this point he figured he would just call a locksmith and be done. Dominic walked in the direction of the sister's voices. They sound like me and my brother. Dominic stood in the doorway silent, hoping he had walked in on a conversation about him. His presence stopped their conversation abruptly. Both sisters were starring at him, his muscular torso looked like a Hershey bar to Kelsie. "What, I got drool or something?" Dominic asked while wiping his sexy thick lips. The sisters gave each other a look and laughed. "You perfect." Kelsie gushed as she made him a big plate of breakfast. Geneva rolled her eyes at her sister, "That was corny as hell Kiki." She laughed. "Sir you gone put a shirt on or naw?" Geneva inquired. "Oh my bad. I damn near thought I was home." He flashed Kelsie a side smile as he headed back to the bedroom. Geneva waited until Dominic was out of sight. "Okayyyy sister, he finer than I thought." Kelsie smiled, "I mean he ok." "Girl bye, the lies you tell." Geneva washed her plate. "I'm going to get ready for my new job." She stated while prancing out of the kitchen. Kelsie finished loading the dishwasher and straighten the kitchen, before heading back to her bedroom. By this time Dominic had cleaned up and gotten dressed. "Holding the phone to his ear, he handed Kelsie a set of keys. Her eyes went from the keys to him and back. Dominic walked into Kelsie's bathroom and closed the door. What the hell. She thought as she sat on her bed and put her shoes on. Dominic came out of the bathroom in a bit of a hurry.
