“Damn man I hate this drive thru, ain't nothing fast about this mothafucka." Rodney grew increasingly impatient. Dominic took a hit of the gas and passed it to Rodney. "And you sitting on top of the horn ain't gone make the line move faster." Dominic shook his head. "You wanted to come here and now you mad cuz the line long. Like it always is." Dominic laughed while scrolling through his phone. "Yeah, whatever. Ima cuss these hoes out today." Rodney took another hit of the gas and passed it back to Dominic. "Yeah and when one of them ghetto hoes throws hot grease on yo ass what you gone do then?" Dominic choked on his smoke laughing at the thought. "She'll be a dead ghetto hoe." Dominic's words irritated Rodney more than he already was. After a thirty minute wait, they reached the window. "You had the 2 piece..." "Bitch what the fuck y'all doing in this mothafucka? Everytime I come here it takes a hour to get to the damn window." The short chocolate bombshell, with her big curly Afro wasn't in the mood for rude customers. "Ummm, excuse you!" Dominic burst into laughter without looking up from his phone. "Man that girl bout to fuck you up." Rodney doubled down on his original statement, aiming to irritate the chocolate beauty at the window. "Bitch, you heard me. Hurry the fuck up with our food. You must don't know a real boss when you see one." She politely closed the window without another word. That took Rodney back, he looked over at Dominic. "You think she bout to come back with some grease?" They both laughed. "She fine as hell tho, you think she gone give me her number?" Dominic looked at Rodney confused. "Boy you sick." Dominic stated through his laughter. The beauty returned to the window, "You had the 2 piece..." Rodney stared at her in confusion as she read off the order. She continued to read off Rodney's order like the initial confrontation never happened. Rodney and Dominic shared the same confusion. Dominic leaned over Rodney getting a good look at the girl at the window. Dominic was immediately stunned by her beauty. "Ma'am, how you doing? Well I hope," He said politely giving her a huge smile. "So ima just cancel my part of the order." Dominic found it hard to hold back his laughter. "Y'all won't serve my chicken with spit on the side." The worker leaned forward, resting her arms on the window seal. A big bright smile spread across her face. Her lips full and painted red, "Now why would we do that sir?" She found him attractive and amusing. Dominic red the play, "What's your name?" Rodney pushed Dominic, "Man dawg get off me, sitting up here tryna mack to this fast food hoe." Dominic had enough of Rodney by this time. Dominic pulled out his wallet, shuffled through a few bills, pulled out a hundred dollar bill, and handed it to the worker along with his business card. "Drop me off at my car before I have to beat yo ass out here in these streets." Rodney and Dominic are blood brothers, bestfriends, and in business together. Rodney may be older but Dominic is the mature one. "Man here you go, you be acting like a little bitch. Fuck that food!”” Rodney pulled off mad as hell. Hitting every speed bump he could find on the way back to Dominic's condo. "Tear yo shit up then, stupid ass." Rodney calmed down a bit, realizing he would just cause himself to spend an insane amount of money to fix his spinners. "You gone stop tryna handle me out in public my G. I'm older than you, don't forget that shit." Dominic's calm demeanor started to shift the more Rodney spoke. "Ole stuntin' ass act like cuz you the smart one running shit I'm supposed to do everything you say." Dominic cut Rodney off, "No brother, you think cuz I'm the one running shit I'm tryna make you listen and obey." Dominic was tired of having this conversation. "The truth is and will always be that we need each other." Dominic shook his head, "I'm not on that Cain and Abel shit and you need to get off it, this ain't no competition and I'm not tryna run you as a man." Rodney pulled up to Dominic's condo. Rodney wasn't jealous of Dominic nor was he intimidated. He was angry with their father. Rodney felt that because he was the oldest brother, the business should have went to him. Dominic knew the reason his father left the business in his hands was because of his maturity at a young age. Rodney was hot headed and on go at all times, however Dominic was mild tempered and rational. The only time Dominic turned up was when he has exhausted all other measures. If left to Rodney, the business would surely take major L's. "Man you be out here ready to crash out over the smallest shit." Dominic closed the door and leaned into the car. "I just don't want you to be that fool that departs from his money, the one pops used to talk about." Both brothers laughed simultaneously. "You opening the dealership in the morning?" Rodney asked Dominic, still partially irritated. "I can, I thought you was opening tomorrow." "I was until I got this message." Rodney showed Dominic his phone, Daddy come see me. Dominic shook his head and chuckled, "I thought you was leaving that crazy ass girl alone." Rodney traveled back and forth from Louisiana frequently to see one of his many flings. "Shiii lil bro she be doing thangs." Rodney and Dominic laughed. "Aight boy, that girl gone have you barking at the moon." Rodney found that too amusing, his laughter was uncontrollable. "Long as she keep riding the dick on her toes, she can do whatever." Dominic shook his head, "Boy you a nutcase." Dominic held out his fist meeting Rodney's. "Be safe brother." Later that night… Having my way with the money, yeah...Dominic looked at the clock on his nightstand. It's fucking 3 am, who the hell is this. Dominic hesitated to answer the phone, that shit keep comin' and comin' "Hello" Dominic answered, half sleep. There was no initial answer, just music playing in the background, Am I dreaming, am I just imagining you're here by my side, "Hello" Dominic's tone was aggressive and irritated. "You still want that chicken?" Dominic opened his eyes and looked at the phone. What the fuck. "Who is this?" Dominic had forgotten about the whole chicken fiasco. "Im disappointed, you forgot about me fast." Dominic sat up as his memory jolted back. Dominic chuckled, "Naw I ain't forget. I was sleep, what you doing up?" Dominic couldn't hold back his smile. "Nothing, seeing what you was doing." Dominic laughed. "At 3 in the morning, what was I supposed to be doing?" Dominic found this little game she was playing cute. "Well you know how bosses get down." Oh she pays attention, I like that. " Who told you I was a boss?" And just like that, as if she could read his mind, "I pay attention." Dominic paused, smiling big, his diamond decorated gold teeth shining in the dark. "Oh yea" Dominic hit the FaceTime button. "Let me see what you look like outside of that chicken outfit." She laughed and hit decline. "Come over and see what I look like." Dominic threw the cover off and stood up. "Say less." Dominic hung up the phone before she could say anything else, he threw on a pair of sweats and a muscle shirt and grabbed his keys. Damn how ima go see her with no address. Dominic thought before grabbing his phone. To his surprise she had already sent her address. Man this shit might be a fuckin' set up. He sat down at his fully stocked henny bar to call her back. Man I knew this was some set up shit. Dominic started to hang up the phone, "Hello" The sound of her voice was soft and sexy. It had been six months since he had been "involved" with someone and he was ready to move on. Maybe too ready, Dominic would never go over to a female's house that he hardly knew. "How you gone invite me to your house and you haven't even told me your name?" He inquired. "Guess it." Dominic looked at the phone confused. How the hell l'm supposed to guess her damn name. Man I'm not with these games. "Shorty ion have no crystal ball and it's too early for games." "Hello" Dominic looked at the phone. He couldn't help but smile. Oh shorty like to play games. This was something new to Dominic and he wasn't sure if he liked it or was irritated by it. He sat at his bar for thirty minutes thinking before he called her back. Just when he was about to hang up, "Hello," Dominic's initial plan was to go in aggressively but it was something about her voice that made him think twice. "Jennifer" she laughed, "Nope" "April" "No" "Kim" "Not even close" Dominic was tired of the guessing game by this time, "Listen shorty before you hang up." He paused to see if she was going to hang up or give him a chance to speak his peace. "Listening." She spoke softly, making Dominic melt. Hell naw boy stay strong. Dominic pepped talked hisself often. "I answered my phone at 3 am for your little do he have a girlfriend test, I've literally sat up for another hour and a half playing phone tag and guessing games with you. I think I passed all your test. What's your name?" Dominic's irritation was more than apparent. "Kelsie" She said before she hung up the phone again. This time Dominic didn't feel the need to call her back. It was obvious to him Kelsie was feeling him. Dominic arrived at the dealership at 7 am still tired from his sleep being interrupted. Dupree and Sons Custom Cars was opened by his father when he was a freshman in high school. His father would take him and his brother out every Saturday to work on custom cars from a young age. What he didn't know was his father used the dealership to run dope. When his father died a year after he graduated high school, him and his brother inherited the dealership including the dope business. Their father being a smart planner left his brother instructions to assist his sons in learning to run the business. His clear instructions were that both boys were to own the dealership but Dominic was to take his seat as the head of FOC (Family over Cash) organization.
