I went to visit a friend of mine in prison. I go to the jail, show ID, and pick up a form. I filled it out and brought it back. Before visiting someone take note of the following: Couldn’t wear orange, red or blue. No bandannas. Pants couldn’t sag. If there are visible gang tattoos I would not be able to visit. When I showed up to visit I had to wait about 10 minutes. They searched me and told me that if I’m smuggling anything they’d arrest me. I had to go through a metal detector and then went in. We talked a lot when we saw each other. He seemed so sad and lonely. He was also getting depressed because he was sentenced to life imprisonment. After an hour or two I bid goodbye to him. But before I make a step he asked me to visit him more often. I just smiled and nod, the truth is it was hard to visit him. You have to wait for weeks or even months before they will allow you to. What I did learn from visiting is it made me appreciate my life so much more. HOW ABOUT YOU, WHAT IS YOUR PRISON VISIT EXPERIENCE? Comment below!
