The Chess pieces Made by Niles moore CHAPTER l The Board The start and introduction of everything you need to know. The day was young and the prince, princess, king, and queen were younger. As one of the many royal squires and a news reporter, i have an exclusive look into the castle… uhh this is how it looks inside That is the royal council room. The people who work here deal with problems like creating laws, wars against other kingdoms, diplomacy, and whatever governments do. Not much right? Well as a squire… I FIGHT! Sometimes I do kill but it is not pretty and I do kill them with honor. The kingdom is good. The last war that happened with the other neighboring kingdom was 17 years ago so you see our defenses are pretty good to stand. The king is 38 years old and is to this day a very rich snob. The queen is 20 yrs old and is very popular in the city as the princess was the younger sister of the queen and same as the prince but the king and queen are only that because they are boyfriend and girlfriend. CHAPTER ll The set up Note: this section takes place out of the broadcast/ newspaper. Queen? huh…” i looked around only to find her looking out the window, thinking, thinking if i leave my duties as a queen just for a little me time… what will happen? Then she looks at me thinking, he’s kinda cute compared to the rest of the folks who work here, he’s loyal and sweet and a bit oblivious, he’s perfect… he can lead me out of this boring castle… “hey i want to be treated to take me out but… nobody wants me go because of them wanting to keep me safe from thieves… so i was wondering if you want to take me out and explore the town…” i replied a bit awkwardly “ not as if we were dating right” “oh no no no i just want to be out with someone who can protect me…” i agreed and we snuck out of the castle undetected lV The First move It was a Cold and cloudy day. The day was a kind of chill of fall, the princess looked different from before, she couldn't be the princess if you even tried to figure it out. The autumn wind carried the leaves and the smell of pie. The princess looked at me like she wanted to kiss me, she looked away then commented on the weather, she asked if i could hold her hand, and i took it. I was so caught up in the moment like she actually loved me but then…i remembered the king, how it would be wrong to even hold her hand. I let go of her hand and walked slower so she could be in front me. I couldn't do this. Vl The Tactical retreat Standing up there next to the king is like standing next to an angel; the sheer sight of the King can make a lesser man afraid and bow down to him. I'LL MAKE SURE YOU'LL PAY!” “DANNEIL DON'T!” The queen's eyes were watering, not with sadness but with glee with happiness. She was happy that the king finally cared for her. She ran up to the king and kissed him deeply. It was an awkward sight but when the queen pulled back then looked at me ever so happy then sad,'`so New Royal Guard what do you plan on doing with your newfound wealth?” “wealth? royal guard? What do you mean?” “I mean You are getting a promotion and a dimon coin for bringing us together and having moral uprightness in the heat of temptation, you overcame the devil.
