I would like to introduce my friend Doctor Elizabeth Kinter. Elizabeth Timberlake Kinter has over 20 years of experience in both the private and public health sector and has held numerous leadership positions in market access. She earned her PhD in Health Economics and Masters in Health Policy from The Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health. Currently, Elizabeth is the Vice President, Global Pricing and Access at Takeda responsible for Global Product Launch Strategy across the Takeda portfolio. Prior to joining Takeda, she spent nine years at Biogen and held multiple roles from Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research, building and leading the European Market Access Team for Multiple Sclerosis Franchise, including the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) team, Global Value and Access for Neuroscience and lastly spent her final three years in the US Business Unit. In the US Business Unit, Elizabeth was Chief of Staff to the Head of the US Market Access Team and took on leadership of the Strategic Pricing and Contracting and Policy Team, including responsibility for all government payer strategy and engagement, and Payer and Patient Access Marketing Teams. Prior to joining the biotechnology industry, Elizabeth was a consultant with experience in market access strategic consulting with Campbell Alliance and health technology assessment and evidence generation with United BioSource. She also worked for a health care investment bank, Leerink Swann, working on value assessments for business development. She started her career at the Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) working on implementation of the Medicare Modernization Act. In her spare time, she enjoys road cycling and spending time with her family, her husband Matthew and 2 daughters Isabel (7) and Emmeline (4).
