How excited are you today about the webinar for the OneStream Studio release? Bilal: Well, we're really excited; this is a big moment for us. We have been working on this for a very long time. We've had this in beta for quite some time, and we have constantly been improving and adding new features and fixing bugs. So yeah, this is something we've been working on for months, and it's a huge achievement for us and the team. Everybody has worked behind the scenes - the graphics teams, the development team, the support team, and everybody got involved. As a whole company, we are very excited and very happy that we have they've been able to deliver such a high-quality product and give something exciting to the live streaming community. When you guys started, why go with streaming and streaming software? What was the inspiration for doing this type of product? Hanan: Actually, we started with this because of our previous product. I have been working with videos for a very long time and have been managing social media for some time. So, I realized there wasn't any social media tool we could use to distribute our videos. So, we came up with VidOctopus. That was the initial product, but unfortunately, it did not work out well because of some fundamental problems. For example, it wasn't a web app; it was a mobile app. So, based on the feedback from the users, we started building a web app for that. Then in the middle, we got a lot of feedback that people were looking to stream those recorded videos because not everyone was comfortable going live back then. So, that was when we started with this streaming platform. How successful were you when you decided to go on AppSumo? How successful was that program for you? Hanan: OneStream was there for about a year when we went on AppSumo, and it was doing quite well. But when AppSumo approached us and we had a discussion, we thought it would be a very good opportunity to introduce this to a larger audience. And that program was very successful. Many people joined us, and to date, they are enjoying the product. We have expanded to the studio now; it was just pre-recorded streaming back then. When you decided to start with the studio, what was the mindset behind making this platform or all-in-one solution for people? Hanan: It was a journey for us as well. First, we thought that pre-recorded would be enough for people. Especially during the pandemic, people were using pre-recorded streaming, and many of them asked us if they wanted to go live directly from the browser. So, we came up with the OneStream Studio realizing that there's a real need and we have a huge customer base. It took us about one year to make this product as it is today. We have a wonderful team that has worked day and night to make this dream come true. What's your favorite feature of the OneStream Studio? Bilal: We're really excited about Live Sales. The OneStream Studio empowers people to be more interactive and can actually sell their merchandise during live streams. Hanan: The Unified Live Chat feature is something really amazing. It has been quite a journey building this chat, and it's incredible how you can chat on all platforms from one window. And it is continually evolving.
