“Do you think this will ever be the same?” He asked me, truthfully I wasn’t sure. I sighed, closing my eyes trying to remember all the events that laid before-hand. I remember us playing in a green pasture kicking up dirt and flower hedges. We were pranksters like that. Those memories seemed to smooth me the most but when I reopened my eyes I was reminded of the truth. I held my breath feeling a choke in my throat, “No.” I looked at him to see a glint of regret. “At the end of the day no one won. Things will never be the same, people we’ve lost will never come back.” He didn’t speak, holding back his words, “Because of me.” My eyes widened as I turned to him, “What?” Strangely I felt like this happened before, the same unsettling feelings. “Did — you ever wonder where the The Sword Of Eire went?” The sword of Eire was doomed to be destroyed years ago, why dare he bring up such an event. Frowning, I looked at him, “Why are you asking me this?” I tightened my grip on the ledge looking to the fire below. “I stole it.” I stood holding my hand over my mouth, I was shaking. “You're the thief?” He stood with me, his eyes crazed, “He promised me the thing I most desired, beating our parents at their own game.” I wasn’t sure if I was sweating from the heat below or because I was nervous, “This is what it was about? This whole time, let me guess you were working with Korvus?” He narrowed his eyes, having a bold expression, “Right again.” He had feelings of sickness but couldn’t be quailed by the feelings of hate. “Our enemy, Korvus? You worked with him!?” I practically screamed going to shove him, “You said you hated him, you lied to me!” I directed my view to the fire, “You caused this!” I spat, “You — you bastard!” I huffed.
