In this video, we are going to explain the functionalities of SuiteCRM Bulk SMS. In SuiteCRM, go to the admin menu and select the module loader. Here you can see that the SuiteCRM Bulk SMS plugin is already installed. Here is the Bulk SMS admin menu. Step 1 is for license activation. By the time you install the plugin, we’ll automatically activate the license. Let’s move on to the second step, which is the Twilio configuration. In the first field, enter the agent’s name. In the next fields, enter the Twilio credentials namely Twilio account ID, Auth token, phone number, and Phone AS ID. Here enter the email address on which you’d like to receive the daily SMS activities Report. In this field, you can choose one or more modules from which you want to send bulk SMS. In this dropdown, select the module in which you want to save new customers’ records if they initiate the SMS conversation. And this is going to be the name of the same newly created record. You can change it as you please. Once done click on the save button. After this, you will see a dialog box like this if your configuration is successful. Here, you need to choose the default phone number fields of the respective modules. And the configuration ends here. You can also see the successful message at the top. These are the details of your configuration. Again go to the admin menu, you’ll see the second step is now completed. Click on step 3 to check all existing SMS settings. As you can see this is the Twilio SMS configuration we just created. Click on step 4 to see all SMS sent so far via this plugin. Currently, it’s showing no messages because we haven’t sent any. Now, let’s go to the leads module. There are 25 records here. We have got their name, email addresses, phone numbers, and a few other details. Please notice that all the phone numbers are in the office phone field because we choose the office phone as the default field during configuration. Click on the green SMS icon right next to the phone number in order to start live chat with that single person. By clicking on this a live chat box will open. This chat box is flexible and resizable. You can move it around the screen, and you can even minimize it amidst the conversation. For sending bulk SMS, select records to whom you send messages. If you select less than 20 records then you can send bulk SMS to them directly from here without the need to create a target list. But if you select more than 20 records like we’re doing here, you will be asked to create a target list that will include all selected recipients. Click on OK to proceed. This is the target list and this is the default name of the target list. In the total entries field, you can see the total number of records. And this is the date on which the target list is created. When sending Bulk SMS, the title of the live chat box changes as well. In the leads subpanel, you can see all the selected records. You can either type the message in the text area or choose from the pre-built templates. You can even insert emojis in your text just like this. Once the message is ready click on the send button. Upon completion, you will see a notification confirming the same. Right now the SMS messages are in the queue and their status will change promptly. The total messages in the queue changed to zero and the status of each message was also changed to send. Go to the admin panel and select the bulk SMS batches option. This is the batch created for our recent bulk SMS. You’ll get to see details like created by, batch number, and total recipients. Again in the admin menu, select the customer phone directory option. Here, you’ll be able to see all the phone numbers along with their modules, fields, etc. In the admin menu, click on step 4 which is to view all SMS. In this module, you can see all messages sent via the bulk SMS plugin. In addition, you can see details like the sender and recipient’s phone numbers. SMS body for every recipient and status. Click on any record to go into the detail view. Here, you’ll be able to see the detail view link to the recipient's record, message body, and link to the target list. For seamlessly accessing all these options, you will also get the centralized menu on the left. If you open the recipient’s detail view from here, you will see the Twilio SMS subpanel in which you can find the SMS message that was sent to the recipient. Finally, to check all the SMS activities done so far by this, we’ll use the view instant report option from the admin menu.
