My job is spread over 3 different companies and one job. One, is the management of Pre-Schools The second, is cleaning services. The third, and the one which takes up most of my time, is the management of the 4-star hotel which is the number 1 hotel in Cordoba according to TripAdvisor. I also manage an apartment hotel in, what used to be, a residential palace and an landmark in Cordoba. I need to act as a day-to-day firefighter in these 4 areas which includes: Checking the accounts. Dealing with the banks. Helping and supporting the staff. And generally ensuring everything runs smoothly. With the hotel I am more proactive in… Tracking sales and Formulating and monitoring monthly strategic plans and reacting accordingly to meet our targets. Why have I decided to take this course? After 6 years of developing my knowledge in the hotel sector I realise I always have more to learn about hotel management. I would like to discover new tools to help me. Network with the other participants. Learn better how to EXPAND. Future growth is an area I spend part of each day on. So, in percentage terms each day is: 40% reactive firefighting. 40% short-term management and monitoring. 20% proactive future planning.
