Welcome to Leed Ryde app. In this tutorial, we will show you how to use the Leed Ryde Application to book your Taxi ride. Once registered, you are set to use the App. At the top of the home screen, you will see the services options to choose from, and the menu options at the bottom. Some services may not be available in your area. It is important that you navigate through the menus to familiarise yourself with the application. To do this, tap on profile at the bottom of the home screen to check the features available. If you are a business user, tap on the business profile to set up your organisation profile. For personal users, ensure to enter your card details on the payment method if you want to pay through the app. There is a Life chat to contact Leed Ryde customer support, anytime you need help using the App, or you want to ask any questions regarding your booking. The booking menu shows all your bookings. Tap on home menu to return to the home screen. If you are a wheelchair user, please set your vehicle preference, using the preference icon here, to ensure you are allocated the right vehicle to serve your need. Your preference is set only once, except you no longer need it. If you need a Taxi Ride, tap on the respective icon on the home screen. You can also tap on the “Pickup From” to place your booking. Google would suggest your pickup address based on your location. Alternatively, you can also drag the map to drop the pin at your desired pickup location on the Edit Your Pickup flag and, tap to go the next screen. On the address screen, tap on the address slot to edit your pickup address if required as Google suggested address may not be accurate. Type your address and pick from the Google listed pop up addresses that match yours to load the address to the slot. Please ensure you enter the correct address for your pickup, so your driver can find you. Similarly, tap on the “Where to” slot to enter your destination address. You may also choose from your Favourite or Recent Locations. If needed, tap the plus sign to add multiple stops during your trip. Once your drop off location is entered, you will automatically be transferred to the vehicle selection screen. Please confirm the pickup and drop off addresses on the map are correct, if not, tap on the address to correct it. On the vehicle selection screen, select your payment method. For personal users, you can choose to pay with cash, contactless or through the App. For business users, select “business profile” if your organisation will pay for your ride. Enter your coupon code if you have any. Select your preferred vehicle based on the number of passengers and area. Selected vehicle turns light blue colour. If you are travelling within Aberdeen City, choose Aberdeen ride. If you are travelling within Aberdeenshire, choose Shire Ride. If you are traveling from Aberdeen City to Aberdeenshire, you can choose Aberdeen or Shire ride, depending on your choice and availability. Similarly, if you are traveling from Aberdeenshire to Aberdeen city, you can choose Aberdeen or Shire Ride that is available, depending on your choice. To place your booking, tap on “REQUEST NOW” or “RIDE LATER” for future ride request. When you place a “RIDE LATER” booking, Leed Ryde will send an SMS to you to let you know driver will attend your booking. The status of your booking will be Pending. This means your booking has been received on the Leed Ryde Web Dispatch System, and a driver will be allocated to you. If you are making a “REQUEST NOW” booking, the time for your selected vehicle to reach your location is shown on top of the vehicle icon. The estimated fare for your selected vehicle is also shown at the bottom of the vehicle icon. The time and fares are estimated values, which means without traffic consideration. There may be additional waiting time delay and cost at the end of your journey. Once a driver accepts your booking, you will receive a chat or call to confirm you will wait for your driver. Driver may not attend your booking if you do not respond to the call or chat. It is therefore pertinent that you respond to your driver’s chat or call at this point to confirm you still need the taxi service. You may also place a call or chat to your driver using the green or blue icon. You can track your vehicle on the map and check the timer to know when your vehicle will arrive. Once your driver arrives, you will hear a beep on your app with onscreen message that your driver has arrived. Driver may place a call or chat to notify you. Proceed to enter your taxi. Before you board your taxi, confirm the make, model, and the Registration number of your vehicle are same shown on your APP. Please, respond to the drivers’ questions to confirm you are boarding the right vehicle you have booked. Please, be nice to your driver, as your driver is obliged to be nice to you too. Kindly inform your driver if you have a preferred route. While on board, if you need to change your drop off address, tap on the edit icon to change it. You can share your location with your family and friends by tapping on the orange colour icon here. You can also see the distance and time left to travel to your destination. If there is an emergency while enroute, tap on the emergency red icon here to place a call to your local emergency services. While enroute, you can tap on the hamburger icon to access set of menus. Once your journey is completed, you may rate your ride for the service provided. Please, ensure to be objective and submit your rating to end your ride.
