Before starting the enrolment inform the member to have a pen and paper handy as they would need to take down a few details from us (Confirmation number, ticket number). When enrolling the member ask them if they have the Medicare card handy with them as we need to enrol the members name exactly as how it appears on their card. If there is any difference the application would be rejected by CMS. Avoid placing the caller on hold multiple times. Explain the difference between cancellation and disenrollment when required. AOR - Authorization of Representative - (Can raise an appeal and grievance), POA - Power of Attorney, can make changes on behalf of the member (Has the right to grievance) and HIPAA - Can know the medical details of the member. It is mandatory to inform the member that they will have a L.E.P in the future if they do not have a Part-D plan. We cannot decide which insurance would be primary or secondary, once CMS will decide the primary and secondary insurance
