Good morning everyone. I am Ms. April and today I am going to present my title about self-awareness related problems and wellness among values education public school teachers in the province of capiz. For the Background and Rationale of the Study Teachers consistently state that their primary educational concerns are disruptive student behavior and classroom discipline (Long, 2018). Gold and Roth (2019) identified teacher self-awareness as an important factor in stress management. Teachers, on the other hand, frequently report exhaustion, fatigue, headaches, and tension, which can lead to burnout. Furthermore, teachers may experience contradictory feelings of hope and fear in emotionally and cognitively overwhelming teaching contexts (Bullough, 2019). For the statement of the problem generally this study aimed at determining the degree of self-awareness related problems and wellness among Values Education Public School Teachers in the Province of Capiz. Specifically, this study aimed to answer the following questions: 1. What is the degree of self-awareness related problems of public school teachers in the province of Capiz as whole and in terms of continuous attention to self, being pro-active at work, and work-life balance? 2. What is the level of wellness of public school teachers in the province of Capiz as whole and in terms of autonomy, teaching environment mastery, and positive relationship? 3. Is there a significant difference in the degree of self-awareness related problems of public school teachers in the province of Capiz when grouped according to socio demographic profile? 4. Is there a significant difference in the level of wellness of public school teachers in the province of Capiz when grouped according to socio demographic profile? 5. Is there a significant relationship between the degree of self-awareness related problems and level of wellness of public school teachers in the province of Capiz? 6. What self-awareness and wellness development program can be developed based on the data of the study? For the theoretical framework this study is based on the heory of Self-awareness of Shelley Duval and Robert Wicklund in 1972. According to them Self-awareness is an important mechanism of self-control. At a given moment, people can focus attention on the self or on the external environment. Focusing on oneself allows for self-evaluation. When people are self-focused, they compare themselves to standards of correctness that specify how they should think, feel, and behave. People can change their behavior and experience pride and dissatisfaction with themselves by comparing themselves to standards, work harder to meet standards, and have stronger emotional reactions to meeting or failing to meet a standard. And this is supported by Orem’s theory of self-care and the multidimensional theory of burnout. Self-care is an action taken by an individual to maintain his or her well-being. The theory is based on the idea that when an individual's self-care demands and capacity are out of balance, teachers must step in and provide the self-care capacity required to maintain the individual's status. Teachers are trained to provide interventions that target the physical, spiritual, and emotional domains of self-care, and they can tailor the interventions to the specific needs of the students . As shown is the schematic diagram. For the independent variable which include socio-demographic profile such as age, sex, civil status, division, educational attainment and length of service. for the dependent variables it is composed of Self-Awareness Related Problems and measured in terms of the Continuous Attention to Self, Being Proactive at Work, and Work-Life Balance, while the Wellness was measured in terms of values education teachers’ Autonomy, Teaching Environment Mastery, and Positive Relationship. Here are the cited foreign and local literature. For the synthesis, I will present the similarities and differences. This study are similar in such manner as it promote self-awareness as having direct value for individuals, organizations, and society, the full range of potential outcomes must be considered. They all emphasize the importance of effective self- awareness on the level of wellness and in facilitating emotions and thoughts of teaches as teaching is one of the most stressful professions. Lack of wellness programs can have an impact on the lives of both teachers and students. It has an effect on students' academic performance because teachers are unable to give their all during the teaching-learning process. AndThe present study differs from the study mentioned in terms of research instruments used in gathering data, variables, respondents, setting, sampling procedures, and statistical tools used in analyzing and interpreting the data and research design. This research study will use a descriptive-correlational research design using quantitative and qualitative data. For the Research Participants and Sampling Procedure The respondents of the study were the public school values education teachers in the Province of Capiz who have been employed within the school year 2022-2023. This study will employ the simple random sampling technique in choosing the respondents. The margin of error observed in the sample size was set at 2.5%. The research instrument used is a modified researcher-made questionnaire. There are three parts of the tool. The first part of such is about the socio-demographic profile of the teachers which is highlighted in terms of age, sex, civil status, division, educational attainment, and length of service. The second part is concerned with self-awareness. And the third part instrument concerns the wellness of teachers. furthermore, In order to facilitate the collection of data, the researcher first will write a letter to the Dean of Graduate School to ask for permission together data from both divisions. Upon approval, the researcher then will secure permission from the Schools Division Superintendent to allow the conduct of the study. The researcher also will ask permission from the principal or school head of the selected schools in the Province of Capiz. Lastly, the researcher will secure written consent from each participant in the study. Once approved, the researcher will administer the questionnaire through google forms. Lastly, In analyzing the data, the frequency and percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, and Pearson-r correlation will be employed. The frequency and percentage will be employed to determine the socio-demographic profile of the respondents. The mean score will be used to determine the degree of self-awareness related problems and wellness of teachers. The standard deviation will be used to tell how measurements for a group are spread out from the average (mean), or expected value among indicators. The T-test will be utilized to determine the significant difference between variables. On the other hand, the Pearson r correlation will be employed to determine the significant relationship between variables. Thank you dear panelist! I am now ready for your comments and suggestions for the improvement of my study. God Bless!
