It gives us immense pleasure to share details of today's program. Rotary Bangalore Sneha, is a small team dedicated to offer a helping hand to the needy, took a giant's stride. Our Charter President Dr. Nithya Leela highlighted the need for a lady, irrespective of her age, to be empowered in all aspects. It is not just being finacially strong that makes a woman strong. One would definitely agree to the fact that, irrespective to which part of the world they live and which ever society, they remain vulnerable to the evil mind and thoughts of a few fellow citizens. The need of the hour is to make them not just finacially strong but, mentally and physically, to tide over all obstacles that one could be forced to encounter in their life. In order to overcome this challenge, Self defense becomes inevitable. Rotary Bangalore Sneha with the help of the Rani Chennamma team of the Kar nataka Police Force conducted a program to help women understand their strengths and overcome their perceived weaknesses. Resist and fight back rather than succumb to the tortures and tyranny that many are forced to encounter. Rotary Bangalore Sneha looks forward for all their club members to join hands together to make this initiative a grand success. There is also a need to help women and young girls to be self reliant. Hence the birth of the n Shakti program in rotary. Rotary Club of Bangaluru Sneha had tied up with Nippon Paints to help train women folks of the lower & lower middle class to take up the role of being professional painters. Our club had conducted the orientation program at Basavanapura, Chikkakamanahalli and Koiyera with the help of the trainers of Nippon Paints. Joining hands to make this world a better place to live, a plantation drive was conducted at Doddakamanahalli and at Narasapura. Our team has been following up on the Principals and Administrators of Educational institutions with a view of initiating Rotaract and Interact clubs. The plan is to have atleast two Rotaract and two Interact clubs by the end of this Rotary year. Dr. Nithya was judged the Runner up in the Master chef competition that was recently conducted. Our club members did attend the two ICGF programs that was conducted during the last two months. We need to stress on increasing our membership to do better. With the help of many hands joining in, we would then have to shift our goals to a higher scale.
