hello are you one of those people who think democracy is the perfect system of governance?. and majority of the people always vote for the right thing. then you are wrong. the majority is not always right. the best case against that is that of nazi germany. what happened with jews in nazi germany is known. it was the majority that approved the holocaust. the majority can easily be persuaded against the truth through propaganda and other means. the famous philosophers like Plato and Socrates raise a number of objections to democracy. He claims that democracy is a danger due to excessive freedom. He also claims that democracies have leaders without proper skills or morals and that it is quite unlikely that the best equipped to rule will come to power and the most important objection of plato was that it doesn't have an objective standard of value. also it does not require that people actually follow reason. democracy leaves it open for people to vote on the basis of their passions, their fears, their irrational judgements.
