Arvala-7 was one of the more overlooked planets in the Outer Rim Territories. Those who knew of its existence rather avoided visiting. Frankly, this planet was a ball of dust floating in the blackness of space. To most people it was nothing but a place to get rid of unwanted burdens and the few permanent residents in this world were struggling to survive off the few resources it had to offer. The scorching heat caused by the planet’s only sun could slowly boil your brain if you weren't careful. The cool desert nights couldn't make up for that. And like everywhere else in the galaxy, there is always room for a new adventure to start. But what kind of adventure would start in a place like this? Well... let me tell you a story that started right on this planet. A story about differences and defying all the trouble they entailed in a Galaxy not yet ready to let go of the past… This story actually begins years before certain heroes of a different story from a different part of this Galaxy defeated the Empire. The Empire’s influence could hardly be felt in this barely inhabited world though. Apart from the few mercenaries and smugglers, this place was even more sparsely inhabited compared to other desert worlds like Tatooine, for example. Our story begins on a peaceful desert night when a sudden noise ripped through the silence. In the starry skies above a ball of fire fell towards the dusty grounds. If you looked close enough you would notice that it was no meteorite but a white escape pod. “Utinni!” a Jawa yelled, alerting the other members of the local tribe of the uncommon sight. Clouds of smoke emitted from the wreck. It took several attempts for the person inside to kick the door open. A human refugee woman took a wary look around before she got out and reached into the pod to grab her little daughter. They left the crash site right away. Water. Water for her child was the young mother's top priority. She took off her cloak and gave it to her youngster to protect her from the cold night breeze. As it grew stronger, mother and child hid in the crevice of a rock, holding each other close and waiting for dawn to come. Moisture farming was one of the most common occupations in desert worlds. On Arvala-7 it was no different. At sunrise mother and child continued their journey through the rocky wasteland. It took hours until one of those moisture farms came into sight. It looked halfway deserted. First thing she did was fill up her water supplies to make sure they had enough to drink as they had a long way ahead of them, though she didn't know exactly what she was looking for out there. A home. A refuge. Anything. After she made sure her little daughter had a full bottle of water to drink she set her down in the shadows of the farm building and told her to wait there and not walk off. She went looking for the farm's owner, if there was one, to pay for the water she'd taken. It was eerily quiet, too quiet.
