What is up Jake Paulers. Today, I am going to be discussing my predictions for what I think will be in the Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness trim when they drop it sometime in the next couple of years. I saw no other videos discussing this, so I figured, it's free real estate. There's actually quite a bit of information to go off of that can help us make educated guesses as to what will be included in the trim, as well as the cost, and what it will look like. Subaru already has two vehicles with a wilderness trim. The outback and forrester. We can look at what these vehicles have to help speculate. The first thing I want to start with is the price. On both vehicles. the wilderness trim is priced above the limited trims. The outback wilderness is about 38 thousand dollars, and the forrester wilderness is priced at 34 thousand dollars. Because the Crosstrek is cheaper than both vehicles, I would expect its wilderness trim to cost more than its limited trim, but not more than the hybrid trim. My guess is about 32 thousand dollars. Definitely a good price range for it. Next I want to address the colors. We don't know the official colors of the next generation crosstrek, but given that both the forrester and outback share 6 wilderness colors, I would imagine we would see the same trend on the crosstrek. These colors are, Autumn green matallic, Crystal black silica, geyser blue, ice silver matallic, White, and magnetite gray metallic. Both current wilderness trims feature the same 17 inch matte-black alloy wheels with yokohama geolander all terrain tires. So we'll likely see those on the crosstrek as well. As far as exterior styling goes, we will likely also see the wilderness badges on both front doors and the rear hatch. In the front should be the Gatling gun style LED fog lamps as well. On the hood should be a black panel, and the side mirrors will be gloss black, not body color matching. We will also see orange accents around the exterior like on the roof rails and potentially the bumper as well. Both cars have increased ground clearance, but they're not the same. I would expect we'll see the lowest ground clearance yet on the crosstrek due to them trying to make it sporty, but likely at least 9 inches. This will mean you might not have to jack it up to do an oil change. Now on to the interior crocodile alligator. We now know that every subaru model is going to get the same infotainment or center console dashboard thing whatever you want to call it. Because the Outback already has this, we can assume that the crosstrek wilderness interior will look exactly like it. Expect gray and black star tex seats with yellow stitching and yellow accents on the steering wheel, shifter, and gauge cluster. Expect power adjustable seats with a heated steering wheel. I want to suggest an included moon roof, but it's not included in any other crosstrek trim so I am hesitant to. As far as the drive train goes, we really can't make any speculation as we have no idea what engines we will be getting in the american crosstrek. However, Subaru has typically followed a trend of having two engine options, and they'll likely put the more powerful one in the crosstrek wilderness. I do think there is chance they may give this trim the plugin hybrid treatment. They are already going to be making one for the crosstrek, and having the torque of an electric motor would be great for off-roading, and the extra weight of the battery would lower the center of gravity, and also help off road. This would likely increase the price to as high as 40 thousand dollars however, but we'd likely get a bunch of luxury features like ventilated seats with it. Every car brand is electrifying, and given that the crosstrek has already been made as a plug-in hybrid, I will bet it will be the first to be given the full E V treatment, and I would expect this to be an option for the wilderness a few years into production. Likely no earlier than 20 26. That's all the speculation I feel like I can reasonably and safely make for the Subaru Crosstrek wilderness at this point.
