A factor contributing to the popularity of 3D animations is the fact that they provide players far more freedom than a 2D game. 3D animation, as opposed to 2D animation, welcomes the player into space with height, width, and depth, offering the highest level of realism and excellent details. Animation can teach us about our characters, who they are, and what they're thinking, perhaps providing critical gameplay information. It can perform all of this while maintaining the illusion of being in the game environment. It takes the user into their own little world and is immersed in it being distracted from any negativity that could be on their shoulders. So something like 3d animation is so different o real life and how the stories aere told in games it could be used as a sense of escapism for the user because they are so immersed in a whole new world it takes all there negativity of their shoulders just to have a little sense of relief and that is sometimes what the user just needs.
