Apart from the National level engineering entrance, various states across the country also hold separate entrance exams for the admissions to undergraduate engineering programs, offered by their state universities and the respectively affiliated institutes. Many budding engineers also appear for State-level engineering entrance exams to keep their options open for better chances of admission in a tough competitive environment. The only important thing to check is the eligibility as most States prefer their own students while the others may or may not be given a chance at admissions. However, this is restricted to the government and aided colleges. Below listing all state-level engineering entrance tests conducted across the country. List of State engineering Entrance Exams. AP EAMCET for Andhra Pradesh. Assam C.E.E for Assam. B.C.E.C.E for Bihar. GCET for Goa. CG P.E.T for Chhattisgarh . GUJCET for Gujarat. HPCET for Himachal Pradesh. JKCET for Jammu, and Kashmir. KCET for Karnataka. "T.S" E.A.MCET for Telengana. KEAM for Kerala. TJEE for Tripura. MHT CET for Maharashtra. UPSEE for Uttar Pradesh. WBJEE for west Bengal. AP EAMCET. The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test is popularly known as AP EAMCET, Its conducted by JNTU Kakinada, on behalf of APSCHE. The entrance exam is held for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Admissions to around 1, 53,150 seats are through AP EAMCET. Assam C.E.E. The Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) will be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education Assam (DTE) in the month of April. DTE Assam has taken the charge of the entrance exam from Dibrugarh University which was earlier the conducting body for the state-level entrance exam. BCECE. It will be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) tentatively in the month of June. BCECE is the entrance exam for admission into B. Tech programs are offered by the participating engineering colleges of the state. The entrance examination is conducted in two stages. GCET. Candidates who are seeking admission to undergraduate engineering courses in state engineering colleges in Goa, will have to appear and qualify for GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test). DTE Goa will conduct GCET in the month of May. GCET has 5 participating institutes offering B.Tech/B.Arch programs for around 1300 seats. CG P.E.T. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) will conduct the CG PET tentatively in the second week of May. Through CG PET candidates can get admission to undergraduate engineering programs in its participating institutes. Candidates who will qualify for J.E.E Main will also be eligible to apply for CG P,E,T. GUJCET. Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) will conduct GUJCET tentatively in the month of May. Through GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) candidates belonging to the state can get admission to over 112 participating institutes in Gujarat. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be the admission conducting body that will be responsible for the counseling and seat allotment process. HPCET. The Himachal Pradesh Technical University will conduct the HPCET examination. The entrance examination is held annually for B.Tech admissions into the 4 government and 13 private engineering institutes of Himachal Pradesh. Through HPCET, 4350 engineering seats are offered by the participating institutes to the eligible candidates. Apart from the entrance exam, admissions will also be provided on the basis of J.E.E Main score, HPCET, or class 12th marks. The first preference will be given to the J.E.E (Main) qualified candidates followed by HPCET qualified candidates. JKCET. It will be conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BOPEE) in the month of April. The state-level entrance examination is a gateway for B.Tech admissions into the six participating engineering institutes. Around 2640 B.Tech seats will be available for admission through JKCET Examination. KCET. Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct the KCET mode in the month of April. The state-level engineering entrance exam will be conducted for admission to various B.Tech programs offered by government and private institutions in Karnataka. The entrance exam will be conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology on two alternate days. KEAM. Kerala Engineering and Medical (KEAM), will be conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (C.E.E) on April 20 & 21. KEAM will provide admissions into B. Tech programs are offered by Government colleges, Government Sponsored Self Financing Colleges, and Private Self Financing Colleges, which are located in Kerala. MHT CET. DTE Maharashtra will conduct Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) in offline mode. MHT CET is held annually for the admissions to the engineering programs offered by the various participating institutes located in the six regions of Maharashtra – Amaravati, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, and Pune. Through MHT CET, 85% of the seats in the state engineering colleges will be filled by it. While remaining 15% of seats in private unaided colleges/institutions of Maharashtra state will be filled on an All India Quota basis for which candidates have to appear in J.E.E Main. TJEE. Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination will conduct the TJEE in the month of April. Through Tripura J.E.E Examination, candidates will be eligible for admission into 4 participating institutes in the state. Based on the TJEE score, around 490 B.Tech seats are available for eligible candidates. "T.S" E.A.MCET. JNTU, Hyderabad will conduct "T.S" E.A.MCET. for the TSCHE - the Telangana State Council for Higher Education. Candidates who will appear and qualify "T.S" E.A.MCET. will be eligible for admission into the 320 participating engineering institutes of the state. The entrance exam will be held in over 27 exam centers in Telangana and Hyderabad. There are around 80,121 seats are available for candidates who qualify for "T.S" E.A.MCET. UPSEE. It will be conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in offline mode. Through state-level engineering entrance examinations, candidates can get admission into more than 600 engineering institutes in Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who will secure the qualifying cutoff in UPSEE will be eligible for admission into around 1.5 lakh undergraduate engineering seats in the state. Other state candidates can also apply for 10% of the private institutional seats of colleges affiliated with AKTU. WBJEE. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board will conduct the WBJEE exam for admission to B.Tech admissions into the Government as well as Self Financing Engineering & Technological institutes of the state. Through WBJEE, candidates will be eligible to get admission into 104 participating institutes. Thank you for watching this video.
